Thus, “experts” are beginning to talk about a Democratic wave in November.

But, as Martin points out, the counter to such Blue optimism and GOP apathy may be as simple as four votes per precinct in a low-turnout contest, which mid-terms typically are. Republicans are thus well-advised to drop the dour looks, get off your tuffs and get to work because things are actually much better than either they or the “experts” are telling us.
