MARTIN HACKWORTH: We all just dodged a bullet. “Trump wasn’t the only person in America to dodge a bullet this afternoon. He was one of about 350 million of us. Had the attempt to assassinate Trump succeeded, I’m confident that there’d be gunfire in cities around the nation tonight. Including, possibly, my small mountain town in the northern Rockies. That’s how close we are to being out of control in 2024, America. . . . There are an awful lot of people in this country who think that they can go to bed every night, no matter what they do or how they conduct themselves, and wake up the next day in a relatively safe, free, and prosperous nation. That’s not so.”
This may be a case of God looking after fools, drunkards, and the United States of America.

Not sure if this is right, but it’s clear that if Trump hadn’t moved his head a few inches at the right time, he’d be dead now and we’d be in the deepest of deep shit.
UPDATE: Apparently real.
I’ve analyzed many images of high speed projectiles. Based on typical camera shutter speed and bullet velocities for AR rifles, the streak has the correct length, and the shadowing based on the Sun-angle is correct. It does look like a bullet. https://t.co/BeiNdsfADr
