SO I JUST CAME FROM BEING TRAINED IN HOW TO TEACH ONLINE VIA ZOOM, in case the University has to close for coronavirus. I’d played around with the platform some, but it was still useful. There’s also a UTK coronavirus website with the latest news. I don’t think we’ll close this week, as Princeton, Stanford, Hoftstra, U. Wash., Puget Sound, and several other schools have done, but spring break is next week and I think they want to be ready. My goal: Figure out which external camera I can hook up to my laptop for a better picture than the built-in camera offers. My big problem is, I walk all around the room while teaching, and now I’ll have to stand fairly still. Short of having Helen operate a camera and follow me around the room for an hour, I won’t be able to do that.
