ROBERT BORK’S AMERICA: Published 40 years ago, Bork’s book on antitrust law fundamentally changed America’s economy for the worse. I have always felt — I remember arguing this with a classmate’s economist-boyfriend — that the Bork approach to antitrust ignores the political aspect of concentrated economic power, something I’m pretty sure the framers of the Sherman Act, etc., considered significant.
