This happened to me when I was a kid once, during the days of still-regulated flights. The stewardess sat and chatted with me for most of the way, and I was old enough (12) to appreciate the attention. Nowadays here in the States I suspect they’d find some pretext to cancel the flight rather than fly with a single passenger.
