CHANGE: Trump says NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft that violate their airspace.
“Yes, I do,” Trump said when posed a question about NATO shoot-downs during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
Later, he stopped short of saying the United States would join in the effort to shoot down violating Russian aircraft.
“Depends on the circumstance,” he said. “But you know, we’re very strong toward NATO.”
NATO members have scrambled in recent weeks after Russian drones and aircraft violated their airspace.

TRUMP GUNMAN STABS HIMSELF IN COURT:
A man convicted of trying to assassinate Donald Trump tried to stab himself in the neck in court as he was found guilty of the crime.
On Tuesday, a jury found that Ryan Routh intended to kill Mr Trump when he pointed a rifle through a fence at the US president’s Florida golf course.
After the guilty verdict was read out, Routh took a pen and stabbed himself in the neck. He was not hurt, according to Sky News.

This is not the first time Olbermann has seemingly openly fantasized about a GOP public figure dying or getting killed. For instance, four months before the first assassination attempt on then-GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, Olbermann appeared to express “hope” that Trump would get treated worse than President Abraham Lincoln, who was… assassinated.
We’ve written a lot here about people whom conservatives believe should delete their accounts, and Olbermann, perhaps more than just about any of the unhinged leftists still left on X, should consider doing just that, and follow it with some soul-searching, because stuff like this is not normal and should never be normalized, no matter how much many among the Very Online Left want it to be.
In fact, Olbermann once declared in late 2023 that he was once and for all leaving what was then known as Twitter, only to return and once again claim, in a post to Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), that he had been misinterpreted.
Flashback to the middle of 2008, when Olbermann was busy looking for “Somebody who can take [Hillary] into a room and only he comes out,” and the fall of that year, when he was worried that Sarah Palin “might stick around to be the slowest-moving target imaginable for comedians and commentators. It would be like shooting moose from a chopper.”

Incidentally, I’m so old, I can remember as far back as October, when Kamala was still smearing Trump as a national socialist, rather than an international socialist, and to May of this year, when she was calling him an American isolationist from the 1930s. CYNICAL PUBLIUS ON ANTIFA: I think it is important that we are all armed with truth-based arguments regarding Antifa, as its enablers and funders on the mainstream Left seek to convince us it does not exist.

6. Antifa in 2025 alleges it began in the 1930s in Germany to oppose Hitler (I have no idea if this is true; it might be). Their intent in endlessly repeating this bit of history is to equate peaceful, conservative, religious Americans with Hitler. This sort of cultural xenophobia is what led to Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
7. In terms of direct action, Communists and Fascists are indistinguishable. That is why it is fair to say Antifa is itself a fascist organization, as well as being Marxist.
8. The key to shutting down Antifa is to cut off its funding. Like all Marxist organizations, the Democrat Party funds it enforcer arm of Antifa street thugs through a variety of cut-out organizations, both private and public. (Those pallets of bricks don’t show up by themselves.) The key to ending the violent, fascist scourge of Antifa rests in the FBI unraveling this web of deceit and funding.

APPLE TV POSTPONES JESSICA CHASTAIN THRILLER THE SAVANT AMID CURRENT EVENTS:
The release of Apple TV+‘s The Savant has been put on hold. The decision comes three days before the thriller starring Jessica Chastain was slated to premiere on the streamer Sept. 26. No new date has been set.
“After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone The Savant,” an Apple TV+ spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline. “We appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date.”
The streamer would not elaborate on the reasons for the last-minute change but The Savant’s subject matter is believed to be behind it, with the storyline about preventing extremist attacks and some of the imagery considered possibly triggering following the Sept. 10 assassination of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk. The series includes a sniper in action and the bombing of a government building among other acts of violence.
There has been more unrest in the U.S. lately, including the shooting into the offices of Sacramento ABC affiliate KXTV (ABC10) on Friday.
The latter was likely done by one of Chastain’s fellow leftists: Are We Done With Political Violence (or Could It Keep Spiraling)?
As for the aforementioned Kirk, “I would bet a decent amount of cash that a Charlie Kirk like character was set up to be the bad guy” in The Savant, Andrew Follett of the Club for Growth tweets.

Given the format of the show and the worldview of all involved, the producers would likely have to do an enormous of editing and reshoots after Kirk’s assassination, or as Amy Curtis of sister-site Twitchy wrote on August 31st: Apple TV’s New Show The Savant Is an AWFL’s Fantasy, but the Trailer IS Hilarious (Watch).
