JONATHAN TURLEY: “Unloading A Revolver Into The Head Of Any White Person”: Yale Features Violent, Racist Diatribe By Psychiatrist.
The audio of the talk was placed on substack by former New York Times opinion writer and editor Bari Weiss. Khilanani previously complained that Yale had restricted access to her speech and demanded that it be made public. Yale Child Study Center Director of Medical Studies Dr. Andres Martin was listed as “course director” for the talk.
Khilanani launched into an attack of all white people was a monolithically ignorant, delusional, and hateful group. Early on, she offers a telling self-diagnosis: “We are calm, we are giving, too giving, and then when we get angry, they use our responses as confirmation that we’re crazy or have emotional problems.” She insisted “Nothing makes me angrier than a white person who tells me not to be angry, because they have not seen real anger yet.”
Khilanani then gives a chilling observation. After noting that she stopped watching news because it upset her too much, she noted “I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their body and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step. Like I did the world a f–king favor.”
Khilanani encouraged the audience to stop speaking with white people because they have are incapable of dealing with their racism and refuse to admit that they are all racists.
Our “leading” institutions are full of people like this, who feel not the least compunction about sharing their deranged racism.
Plus: “The problem is not the tolerance shown speakers like Khilanani but the intolerance shown opposing viewpoints. Indeed, it is rare for such conservative or libertarian speakers to be invited to these conferences or campus events. Yale clearly wanted to feature Khilanani and her ‘decoding whiteness’ viewpoints. The question is whether it will now offer a speaker who will decode Khilanani and whether she is herself an example of violent and racist ideations.”
Spoiler: No.
WHAT COULD GO WRONG? AOC says answer to violent crime is to stop building more jails.
That’s a curious about-face from somebody who wanted to make pretty much everything illegal in 2019, including all of America’s planes, internal-combustion vehicles, cow farts, and outlaw every existing building unless rebuilt. What did she expect to happen to the worst offenders under the Green Nude Eel?
CORONAVIRUS ONE YEAR AGO: Dr. Fauci Backed Controversial Wuhan Lab with U.S. Dollars for Risky Coronavirus Research.
Dr. Anthony Fauci is an adviser to President Donald Trump and something of an American folk hero for his steady, calm leadership during the pandemic crisis. At least one poll shows that Americans trust Fauci more than Trump on the coronavirus pandemic—and few scientists are portrayed on TV by Brad Pitt.
But just last year, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the organization led by Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses.
In 2019, with the backing of NIAID, the National Institutes of Health committed $3.7 million over six years for research that included some gain-of-function work. The program followed another $3.7 million, 5-year project for collecting and studying bat coronaviruses, which ended in 2019, bringing the total to $7.4 million.
Emphasis mine. That’s apparently not an issue for President Joe Biden Ron Klain and Vice President Kamala Harris: White House press sec praises Fauci as an ‘undeniable asset’ after bombshell email revelations.
Which means it’s not an issue for the DNC-MSM: Media continues to lionize Anthony Fauci, despite his damning emails.

DISPATCHES FROM THE EDUCATION APOCALYPSE: Yale hosted a lecture on the ‘Psychopathic Problem of the White Mind.’
Yesterday I wrote Katie Herzog’s piece (published on Bari Weiss’ Substack) about a group of doctors who meet regularly to discuss the ways in which woke ideology is seeping into medicine. Today, Herzog has a follow up about a lecture which Yale School of Medicine’s Child Study Center hosted in April. The talk featured a New York psychiatrist named Aruna Khilanani. Her public lecture was titled “The Psychopathic Problems of the White Mind.” Herzog’s piece contains the entire audio of the lecture but here are a few samples of the contents:
- “This is the cost of talking to white people at all. The cost of your own life, as they suck you dry. There are no good apples out there. White people make my blood boil.”
- “I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their body, and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step. Like I did the world a fucking favor.”
After that first quote above she goes on to say that she “took action” five years ago by distancing herself from all of her white friends. After the second quote she explains that her assassination fantasy was really about her own feelings of futility.
But the post isn’t just a series of quotes from her lecture, Herzog also interviewed Khilanani and that’s when things got really weird.
Yes, an interview involving a psychiatrist and Yale lecturer’s hatred of white people, “white guilt,” and, err, bread and gluten allergies, is guaranteed to be pretty out there.
Exit quote: “I mean, white people don’t eat bread. Think about that. There have been wars all over the world over grains and bread and only here, white people are depriving themselves. Think about that sh*t.”

CLAUDIA ROSETT: Xi Jinping’s Tiananmen Vision Is Coming for Us All.
If you want to understand what China’s Communist Party, wannabe boss-of-the-world, envisions for us all — just look today to the grim transformation of Hong Kong’s Victoria Park.
This pleasant area near the harbor, with its greenery, sports pitches and big central lawn, is where, for more than 30 years, Hong Kongers have gathered and lit candles to celebrate the courage and dreams of liberty that animated China’s 1989 Tiananmen uprising, and mourn the slaughter with which China’s communists crushed that movement for freedom, centered in the heart of Beijing. Since 1989, Beijing’s commissars have gone all out inside mainland China to obliterate the truth of Tiananmen, 1989. This year, one of China’s state propaganda outlets, the Global Times, celebrated the 1989 Tiananmen “incident” as having “inoculated the Chinese people with a political vaccine, helping us acquire immunity from being seriously misled.” (The article did not mention the vast apparatus of surveillance, diktats, censorship, prison terms and other strictures and punishments with which the CCP continues to ensure that China’s 1.4 billion people do not again embark on any “misled” movements to speak freely, choose their own leaders or decide for themselves the direction of their country.) Beijing’s grotesque rewrite of history is part of a vast CCP campaign of propaganda and coercion dedicated to ensuring that the people of China do not attempt a replay of the 1989 democratic movement that was, in truth, the People’s Republic of China’s finest hour.
But in Hong Kong, people remember. Year after year, it has been an inspiring sight, as tens of thousands have come to Victoria Park at dusk, and, with candles (and, in recent years, mobile phone flashlights), transformed the park into a field of light. Those June 4 vigils have been one of the glories of Hong Kong, the only territory under China’s red flag where people were free to commemorate Tiananmen, 1989.
As Claudia writes, “Not this year:”

BOOKMARK THIS ONE: You may not be familiar with Kash Patel, but much of what is known today about the origins and motives of Russiagate are known because of his investigative efforts working for then-House Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA).
Patel is also a former federal prosecutor, chief of staff to the acting Secretary of Defense and a National Security Council counter-terrorism expert. He’s even been the guy with the nuclear football accompanying the President.
Now Patel sits down each week for “Kash’s Corner” on Epoch Times TV to talk with host Jan Jekielek about what’s happening and why on the national and world scenes. The first edition is full of Patel’s fascinating and informed insights about the Israel-Hamas conflict and the politicalization of the national security community.
Just to cite one enticing example, did you know two days before January 6, President Donald Trump authorized the deployment of 20,000 National Guard troops to protect the Capitol if requested by the Secretary of Defense? Or that D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser sent a letter to DOD refusing to request such troops?

JIM TREACHER, STILL GOING OUT ON A LIMB: No, Seriously, Trump Lost. He can’t accept it, but you can.
When I mentioned the other day that Trump lost the 2020 election, some of his fans got mad at me. Or I should say they stayed mad, because they haven’t stopped being mad at me for the past five years. But this time they were angry at the claim that Trump thinks he actually won. The very idea is preposterous, they explained. I’m a big jerk for saying so, they elucidated.
This ignores the fact that for months after the election, Trump loudly insisted that he had won, and on January 6 he even whipped up a mob at the Capitol Building to try to stop Mike Pence from certifying the Electoral College votes. Reading between the lines, I took these subtle clues to mean that Trump believes he actually won the election. And nothing he’s said or done since then seems to indicate he’s accepted the loss.
But I’m not supposed to believe that he believes he won, because Maggie Haberman of the New York Times says so and she’s bad.
Well, okay, I don’t blame anybody for being skeptical of her or anybody else at the NYT. I’ve spilled oceans of ink over the years about how much they suck. So if you take that report with a grain of salt, okey-doke.
This could be seriously fun however, if it actually happens: ‘So interesting:’ Trump pitched on idea to run for House, become Speaker.
UPDATE (FROM GLENN): Claiming that Trump “whipped up” the mob at the Capitol is out on a limb indeed, given that many of these people weren’t Trump supporters, and entered the Capitol before Trump started speaking. Treacher, for some reason, detests Trump, but this is just a lefty storyline.
MIAMI: University Of Miami President Doubles Down On Decision To Fire Tony Varona After Less Than Two Years As Dean. “Frenk, who met with the professors Wednesday night, did not provide a detailed explanation for removing Varona, saying he didn’t find that appropriate.” Interesting that they’re still providing no details. My earlier speculation is here.
BUT OF COURSE: Biden’s heralded vaccine goal just one day ahead of Trump’s criticized plan.
Despite White House chest-thumping and media praise for his plan to have enough vaccinations for all Americans by the end of last month, President Joe Biden’s goal was just a day better than former President Donald Trump’s plan and has followed the former administration’s script nearly exactly.
That plan, which cut vaccination development and distribution from the normal 10 years to just 10 months, was a “great American success story of grit and innovation,” according to a new analysis of “Operation Warp Speed,” Trump’s gamble to shake up the process.
In a new insider analysis, retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, a former coronavirus task force member and national security adviser to task force chief former Vice President Mike Pence, said the Trump team cast aside doubts and missed opportunities by previous administrations to work with drug companies and distributors to speed COVID-19 vaccines. . . .
Trump, however, in a statement Thursday amid the release of Fauci emails, noted, “Fauci also didn’t put an emphasis on speed of vaccine production because he thought it would take 3, 4, or maybe even 5 years to create. I got it done in less than 9 months with Operation Warp Speed. In retrospect, the vaccine is saving the world.”
The analysis of Operation Warp Speed did note that the Biden administration has not continued the close cooperation with states implemented by Pence and has only changed the goal of full vaccination of the nation by one day.
“The Biden administration has largely carried on many of the operational components of OWS, including nearly the same vaccine rollout plan with a target of all adults having access to the vaccine by the end of May — a one day difference from the OWS goal of making 300 million doses available by June 1, 2021,” wrote Kellogg and two doctors with the institute, Jacob Olidort and Heidi Overton.
The analysis said that while following Trump’s plan, Biden has only made tweaks, presumably a sign that it is the model for pandemic responses of the future.
The press won’t note this.
WELL, OKAY: As Virus Spread, Fauci Compared COVID-19 to ‘Seasonal Flu.’
Dr. Anthony Fauci displayed a flippant attitude about travel and failed to understand the severity of COVID-19 during the early stages even as clear warning signs emerged, according to emails reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.
On Feb. 25, 2020, CBS News asked Fauci for advice in its coverage of COVID-19. Fauci told the network to emphasize the “real and present danger” of the seasonal flu even as the Centers for Disease Control prepared to classify COVID-19’s spread as a pandemic that very day. The emails reveal how Fauci steered the media’s early coverage of COVID-19. Just two weeks before President Donald Trump declared the virus a national emergency, he told CBS to not “yield to unreasonable fear [about COVID-19]” nor allow the “fear of the unknown” pandemic to “distort” the evaluation of everyday risks.
Then he realized what the pandemic could do for him.
