ANSWERING THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS: Have Tokyo Olympics Athletes Been Given ‘Anti-Sex’ Beds?

Tokyo athletes have not been given ‘anti-sex’ beds.

The beds have been purposely designed to align with the Tokyo 2020 Games’ sustainability concept of, “Be better, together—For the planet and the people.”

The single bed frames will be recycled into paper products when the games conclude. The mattress components will also be recycled into plastic products.

No word yet if the Texas Democrats who fled to DC will be testing the beds as well.

MARK JUDGE: Fake Rape Charges and the Lunatic Media: Why the LA Times Rescinded a Request for a Police Report that Never Existed. “When they got desperate, the left dragged out Julie Swetnick. Remember her? She was the pawn of then-lawyer, now-convicted-felon Michael Avenatti. She told the disgraceful Kate Snow of NBC News that she was gang raped at a party where Brett and I were also present.”

It’s important to remember how the entire leftist media/political establishment united around a lie here. Because they do it all the time.

GREENFAIL: Report: Philadelphia’s Proterra Fleet in Complete Shambles. “More than two dozen electric Proterra buses first unveiled by the city of Philadelphia in 2016 are already out of operation, according to a WHYY investigation. The entire fleet of Proterra buses was removed from the roads by SEPTA, the city’s transit authority, in February 2020 due to both structural and logistical problems—the weight of the powerful battery was cracking the vehicles’ chassis, and the battery life was insufficient for the city’s bus routes. . . . The city paid $24 million for the 25 new Proterra buses, subsidized in part by a $2.6 million federal grant. Philadelphia defended the investment with claims that the electric buses would require less maintenance than standard combustion engine counterparts.”

THIS IS IMPORTANT: Which States Are Addressing ‘The Real Kraken’ in Their Election Reform Laws? “As election lawyer J. Christian Adams explained, the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Technology ad Civic Life (CTCL) directed millions to government election offices around the country to ‘help’ them conduct the 2020 election. These funds — commonly referred to as ‘Zuck bucks’ — built “structural bias” into the election — converting ‘election offices in key jurisdictions with deep reservoirs of Biden votes into Formula One turnout machines.'”

As usual, the bigger scandal isn’t the laws they got away with breaking, but the things the law allows them to do.

ANDY KESSLER: Progressive policy makers won’t learn that parasites should never kill their host.

It is hard to sit by and watch your economy being strangled. Ibram X. Kendi’s book “How to Be an Antiracist” is all the rage now, but the Biden administration and its progressive hangers-on are providing a master class on “How to Be an Anticapitalist” and suck the air out of the economy.

Start by paying people to do nothing—1.8 million workers, according to a recent Morning Consult poll, have turned down jobs due to generous unemployment benefits, including an extra $300 a week from the federal government in some states. Meanwhile, Burger King is offering a $1,500 signing bonus.

Anticapitalists then shut pipelines (except Russian ones) and suspend drilling leases in parts of Alaska, helping send oil prices above $70. The government says it wants to limit carbon emissions, but then it squashes better energy options like nuclear. On June 30, months after New York state closed the Indian Point nuclear power plant, Mayor Bill de Blasio asked New Yorkers to cut back on energy usage during a heat wave. You can’t make this stuff up.

An anticapitalist would next restrict capital formation, so President Biden has proposed raising the top capital-gains rate from 23.8% to a punitive 43.4% and the top individual income-tax rate to 39.6%. . . .

Anticapitalists in Congress are pushing $3.5 trillion in spending unrelated to infrastructure with an Orwellian sleight of hand by declaring it “human infrastructure.” Big surprise, it is larded with climate provisions and other progressive party favors.

Then anticapitalists limit speech, open the borders, mess with education (math isn’t about getting the right answer anymore), ruin healthcare, and defund the police, causing crime rates to rise. Cities and suburbs have homeless encampments and brazen daytime crime. San Francisco shoplifters limit themselves to a total haul worth less than $950 knowing that the cops won’t stop them if they commit what 2014 California ballot proposition redefined as a misdemeanor.

When you understand that “progressive ideology” is a memetic weapon designed to destroy the host, it makes sense.

THE GRIFT THAT KEEPS ON GRIFTING: Review: Nice Racism by Robin DiAngelo.

DiAngelo claims to earn an average fee of $14,000 per engagement, which includes pro bono work as well as corporate gigs that run “upwards of $30,000.” At a rate of one event per week, that works out to $728,000 in annual compensation on the speaking circuit alone. That’s on top of the estimated $2 million in royalties she pocketed thanks to the success of White Fragility. It’s decent work if you can get it, though DiAngelo might not agree. “We need to recognize racial equity as a field requiring a high level of skill and expertise that should be compensated,” she implores.

Nice Racism is DiAngelo’s best effort to double down on the lucrative schtick. The author’s target audience and chief benefactors, white progressives, are chastised for their insufficient devotion to the cause of racial equity. The beatings will continue until morale improves, and profits increase. Even the most well-intentioned white progressives, DiAngelo scolds, are responsible for “the most daily harm to Black, Indigenous, and other radicalized people” in ways that are “less obvious” but also “more insidious.”

VICTORY: Biden Caves on Critical Theories Grant After Parents Push Back. “The DOE reinforced local decision-making where parents will still have a say in the curriculum their schools adopt. This news should underscore the importance of grassroots action at the local level, which many of us have ignored for too long.”

THAT WAS THE PLAN ALL ALONG: Wokeness is sabotaging the military academies. “James Hasson, a U.S. Army veteran, recently wrote about the slow but steady acceptance of woke concepts at the service academies in his book, Stand Down: How Social Justice Warriors Are Sabotaging America’s Military. While chronicling documented cases of woke ideology run amok at the service academies, Hasson writes, ‘It might surprise the average American taxpayer to learn that civilian professors at the service academies are as leftist as any other group of professors…their ‘scholarship’ is often indistinguishable from what might be found at the most progressive, leftist university.’ Indeed, as Hasson points out, cadets such as communist-sympathizer Spenser Rapone have been radicalized at the service academies.”

UPDATE (FROM GLENN): “Americans have never really understood ideological warfare.”
