ROGER SIMON: Yale Is Dead—and That’s a Good Thing.
I, frankly, had enough at the top. I was more concerned with what had happened to Yale, an institution I attended in the sixties as a playwriting student in the drama school.
In those days we had the likes of Marc Chagall as speaker (exceptional, I admit) who spoke of the necessity of love in the creation of his art. Now the “learning objective” on the poster advertising Dr. Khilanani’s talk is to “understand how white people are psychologically dependent on black rage.”
On that same announcement it reads: “It is the policy of Yale School of Medicine, Continuing Medical Education, to ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all its educational programs.”
Like “five holes in the brain”?
What a farce Yale has become.
And of course it’s not alone. The entire Ivy League is sinking under a lava flow of endless, mind-rotting woke drivel.
Just the other day the Princeton classics department announced it would no longer require Latin and Greek for classics majors. What are they supposed to study then? Classic comics? I remember reading one of the Iliad when I was kid. It must still be around.
What motivates this and similar decisions (they’re being made across the country) is racism pure and simple, the assumption being—though they would of course vigorously deny it—that minorities don’t have the intelligence or the rigor to learn anything difficult. How insulting and how despicable.
The Ivies are obviously not alone in the onslaught of woke that has destroyed American higher education with only a very few exceptions. It’s everywhere, in part because Ivy graduates—starting in traditional “woke” areas (humanities, social studies) that have metastasized to virtually everything now, including the sciences—go out to spread these noxious doctrines as if it were the Gospel in supposedly lesser colleges and universities.
It was the Ivies, as much or more than any other institutions, that during the eighties and nineties nurtured Marxist critical theory (deconstruction and the like) and its spawn critical race theory that is currently driving apart the citizens of this country, accusing practically everyone of being a racist, especially those who aren’t.
So, at least to this Yale MFA, Yale is dead. And that’s a good thing. And a liberating thing.

WORLDWIDE PANTS: Pants On Backwards? The Latest Trump Scandal Had Liberals Intently Focused On His Crotch.
Co-host Joy Behar chimed in and said Trump’s pants “make him look crazy.” After the discussion, The View did point out that Snopes had fact-checked the claim that Trump wore his pants backward and determined it was false.
The story even made it to legacy media. NPR ran a story debunking the narrative that Trump wore his pants backwards and New York Magazine wrote that “Trump Successfully Wore Pants Correctly at Rally.” The Daily Mail, Newsweek, The Wrap and The Sun also chimed in on the issue.
Even with Trump out of office, TDS knows no bounds.
BRIAN STELTER HAS NO SHAME: Is his ‘interview’ with Jen Psaki the most embarrassing segment CNN has ever aired?
For anyone still wondering why Joe Biden or President Ron Klain chose Psaki, a former CNN contributor, to be the daily public face for this administration, look no further than Brian Stelter’s coddling and unabashed fangirling. This administration knows Brian Stelter is a mark, someone who has advanced his career solely by sucking up to power, whether it be in the Obama and Biden White House or Warner Media. Stelter, remember, wrote a tell-all about NBC, but somehow forgot to include a chapter on Matt Lauer. Oops!
Brian Stelter is someone who simply loves the comfort of the chair he’s in. That would be all well and good if that chair didn’t sit in front of a camera broadcasting out to a couple thousand viewers* nationally every week.
CNN has devolved into a playground of celebrity narcissists whose only job is to perform the news and do the dance that Jeff Zucker tells them to — not report news or inform viewers. They all play their role, whether it’s Anderson Cooper’s nightly fainting couch hyperbole over the January 6 Capitol riots, or Chris Cuomo’s comedy double act with his brother, or Jake Tapper’s fallacious ‘last honest man in Washington’ shtick, or Jim Acosta dropping awkward burns of Donald Trump that he gleamed off Twitter. But none of them have sullied themselves the way Stelter did this past Sunday. His colleagues who claim to be just as a rigorous and dedicated journalist as Brian should be embarrassed for him. Clearly he is incapable of feeling so himself.
This is CNN.

Texas is changing — but not that much. As it turns out, newcomers to Texas seem to take on the character of their state and don’t listen to those who want to change the state’s streak of independent thinking. They don’t care what the national Democrats — or national Republicans — think.
Still though, how’s that Welcome Wagon project coming along?

OUTRAGEOUS: Brian Williams Pushes Ad Likening Antifa Terrorists to American Patriots.
Even though Antifa members use violence against peaceful conservative activists and try to stifle free speech, the ad tried to claim that they are akin to heroic U.S. troops who stormed the beaches at Normandy as it began by showing World War II era images of American troops in Europe:
CLIP OF AD WITH NARRATOR: Who is Antifa? They stormed the beaches of Normandy*, parachuted into the French countryside and gave their lives to face down and fight back against fascism. They took down Nazi machine gun nests, tore apart the Third Reich’s strong holds, liberated concentration camps, liberated France, Italy, Belgium, Holland. Anywhere Antifa saw fascism, they fearlessly and relentlessly annihilated it.
The ad eventually included images of Donald Trump and Fox News host Tucker Carlson as it concluded:
Fascism was defeated because of patriots like these — proud Americans who knew that the fight against fascists was not simply a battle between opposing nations, it was a war against inhumanity, a war that isn’t nice but cannot be lost, a war we still fight today. (shows image of Donald Trump) Anti-fascism, it’s not a cable news talking point. (shows image of Tucker Carlson) It’s an American ideal that should be memorialized because it was paid for in blood.
* That is of course, a lie:
The modern Antifa movement derives its name from a group called Antifaschistische Aktion, founded in May 1932 by Stalinist leaders of the Communist Party of Germany. The group was established to fight fascists, a term the party used to describe all of the other pro-capitalist political parties in Germany. The primary objective of Antifaschistische Aktion was to abolish capitalism, according to a detailed history of the group. The group, which had more than 1,500 founding members, went underground after Nazis seized power in 1933.
A German-language pamphlet — “80 Years of Anti-Fascist Actions” (80 Jahre Antifaschistische Aktion)” — describes in minute detail the continuous historical thread of the Antifa movement from its ideological origins in the 1920s to the present day. The document states:
“Antifascism has always fundamentally been an anti-capitalist strategy. This is why the symbol of the Antifaschistische Aktion has never lost its inspirational power…. Anti-fascism is more of a strategy than an ideology.”
During the post-war period, Germany’s Antifa movement reappeared in various manifestations, including the radical student protest movement of the 1960s, and the leftist insurgency groups that were active throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
The Red Army Faction (RAF), also known as the Baader-Meinhof Gang, was a Marxist urban guerrilla group that carried out assassinations, bombings and kidnappings aimed at bringing revolution to West Germany, which the group characterized as a fascist holdover of the Nazi era. Over the course of three decades, the RAF murdered more than 30 people and injured over 200.
After the collapse of the communist government in East Germany in 1989-90, it was discovered that the RAF had been given training, shelter, and supplies by the Stasi, the secret police of the former communist regime.
Though otherwise, I trust Brian Williams when it comes to World War II history — and military history in general. He’s fought in numerous campaigns, after all:

Man, I wish somebody would personally attack me with one hundred grand.1
AOC has yet to make a public statement about any of this, and I doubt any “journalists” will pursue it because they don’t want to embarrass her. What is she supposed to say? Her attempt to leverage her family’s problems for political ends was brilliantly exposed as a cheap stunt, and she can hardly condemn the people who raised a ton of money to help her grandma.
Congratulations to Matt Walsh at the Daily Wire for figuring out how to get AOC to finally shut up: Try to help her.

ROGER KIMBALL: Admirable Evasions and the ‘Psychopathic Problem’ at Yale.
“I had fantasies of unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way, burying their body, and wiping my bloody hands as I walked away relatively guiltless with a bounce in my step.”
Will that be on the exam?
Yale, like most of the best and most prestigious educational institutions today, is a bastion of woke identity politics.
Increasingly, it substitutes the new “planetary influences” of race, the “spherical predominance” of exotic sexuality for the more pedestrian talismans of learning, intellectual rigor, and civic responsibility.
In this sense, Dr. Khilanani is more a symptom than a cause of the disease.
She embodies, to be sure, an ugly and repellent expression of the sickness that is ravaging our elite institutions.
But the cause is in the spirit that would not only allow but actually celebrate such disgusting performances as “The Psychopathic Problem of the White Mind.”
Remember, this was not at some wacko fringe grotto but at Yale University, operating in this instance as an agent for the State of Connecticut.
People like Dr. Khilanani should be watched closely but, after being ostracized from any contact with the vulnerable, ignored.
It’s institutions like Yale and the regulatory apparatus of the state that need to be exposed and then dismantled.
Granted, it is a tall order.
Prudent people will give Dr. Khilanani a wide berth. But she has done us all a service by showing us the alternative.
Why are Democrat Party monopoly institutions such cesspits of racism?

ANTI-AGING: Clearing Cellular Dead Wood. “The whole cellular senescence pathway presumably developed as a way to avoid slipping into a tumor phenotype – the more cellular divisions, the greater the chance of something going wrong along the way. It’s a tradeoff, and evolution seems more than willing to shortchange older members of the species who have generally passed on their genes to all the offspring that they’re going to. But humans have other goals. We are looking at a rather rapidly aging planet, if current demographic trends hold up, and it would be extremely desirable to have that associated with less of a disease burden.”
