TO BE FAIR, MOST TALK OF RACISM NOWADAYS IS “WHITE LIES:” Stop the white lies about anti-Asian hate crime: Using FBI data, I computed black and white perpetrators of hate crimes as a percentage of men 18 to 44 years old in their populations. “White supremacists should be vigorously combatted. However, most victimized groups live in central cities where there are few white supremacists. Members of the Asian, Latino and LGBTQ communities may have much more to fear from young alienated black men whose pent up anger spills over into destructive, violent behaviors.”
You can vigorously combat white supremacists, but it’s surprisingly hard to actually find them. The other sources of violence, however, are much more common.
Plus: “Using 2019 FBI statistics — the most recently available data — I computed black and white perpetrators of hate crimes as a percentage of men 18 to 44 years old in their populations. The black rate was 40 percent, 76 percent and 303 percent higher than the white rate for hate crimes against the Asian/Pacific Island, Latino and LGBTQ communities respectively. Even more troubling, black rates for hate-crime assaults were 94 percent higher.”

CAPITALISM, THE UNKNOWN IDEAL: The Berenstain Bears Could Curb the ‘Stimulus’ Crowd’s Enthusiasm.
What’s important about Sister Bear’s thoughts is that they explained “money” in ways that economists no longer can. Sister Bear’s musings are a reminder that no one wants “money,” buys and sells with “money,” or lends/borrows with “money.” In truth, the movement of money signals the movement of actual market goods. In other words, we want money because of what it can be exchanged for. The failure of economists and journalists to internalize this statement of the obvious is the source of all manner of economic misunderstanding.
Consider a recent column by New York Times economic journalist Neil Irwin. Irwin is elated that the trillions of so-called “stimulus” spending since the tragic lockdowns began has awoken lawmakers to their “leading role” in economic aid; a role that will push the Fed aside. Actually, neither the Fed nor lawmakers can stimulate economic growth. Sister Bear shows why.
She once again desires money for what it can be exchanged for, but money is only desirable insofar as there is production to exchange it for first. If anyone doubts this, they need only take their dollars to the Amazon River’s forests, or too Antarctica, to see how much their dollars will purchase them. Without production, money quite simply serves no function when it’s remembered that the sole purpose of money is to facilitate the exchange of market goods. Money doesn’t instigate production; rather it’s a consequence of production.
Applied to lawmakers and central bankers, they can’t create new wealth. They can only redistribute wealth already created. For them to pass out dollars to others, they must extract dollars from those who created the wealth in the first place. There’s no new demand. There’s only a shift of demand.
Irwin gleefully observes that “people like having money,” so the answer is seemingly to give them money. Growth will follow. No, it’s not that simple.
What Irwin misses is that people don’t “like having money” as much as they like having what money can be exchanged for. People like the fruits of production, but Irwin and the economists he listens to are calling for a scenario whereby government depresses the producers in order to stimulate the depressed as the path to growth.
Oh well, not only is there no growth in the above scenario, it’s also not one that would logically appeal to the depressed. If to some degree their depression is a consequence of a lack of money, then it’s in truth rooted in a lack of material goods. Remember, Sister Bear doesn’t want a dollar as much as she wants marbles, candy, ice cream, or Bearbie accessories.

WELL, THAT’S CONVENIENT: What happened to Mars’s water? It is still trapped there.
We arrived in our current situation because our ruling elites painstakingly prepared the battleground in advance. In 2012, they amended the 1948 Smith-Mundt Act to permit the domestic dissemination of government propaganda into American newsfeeds.
In 2015, they passed the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Act, which created a cottage industry of government-funded, progressive-leaning CVE consultants and think tanks dedicated to pushing the myth of right-wing “domestic extremism” and “white supremacy.” Employing teachers, healthcare professionals, first responders, and community leaders, the Obama-era CVE mania built a federally controlled and funded local surveillance and intelligence collection apparatus that spans from grade schools to the workplace to the doctor’s office. An apparatus that still uses debunked pseudoscience to classify ordinary Americans’ constitutionally protected speech and activities as “pre-terrorism indicators.”
Under the pretext of keeping us safe, they passed multiple counterterrorism laws such as the 2001 USA Patriot Act, the 2015 USA Freedom Act, and the various FISA Amendment Acts (2008, 2017, 2018, 2020), which, taken together, authorize warrantless mass surveillance of all American’s communications, activities, associations, and business transactions.
In addition to these legislative actions, Americans became apathetic and lost the will to hold their government leaders accountable. The multi-tier justice system under which we now suffer has been years in the making. According to a 2019 Pew Research Center analysis, of the 79,704 total federal defendants in the year 2018, fewer than one percent went to trial and were acquitted. The vast majority were coerced into plea bargains as a result of prosecutors stacking charges, a practice of bringing large numbers of often redundant charges against a defendant in order to force a guilty plea. Many defendants, facing decades behind bars from the stacked charges, take a plea agreement even when innocent instead of going to trial and gambling on the meager acquittal rate.
Our federal security services were weaponized and converted into secret police enforcers for the Democratic Party. If you are a 60 or 70 year-old Trump political supporter with no criminal record, you get a televised, dawn FBI SWAT raid and a de facto life sentence for a contrived process crime. If you are a ruling class criminal, on the other hand, the Justice Department looks the other way and you get sweet book deals, million-dollar GoFundMe accounts, and high-paying gigs on establishment media news shows.
Domestic propaganda, mass surveillance, and a multi-tiered justice system—these are the tools of tyranny that were diligently set in place by the elites to facilitate their aspiration to permanent power. This is not solely a leftist march through America’s institutions: Plenty of GOP politicians and government officials participated in building this authoritarian infrastructure. If traditional Americans are going to take their country back, this is what they face.

That’s one of my favorite Obama clips because it perfectly captures two of his most defining traits: sneering condescension and a complete disregard for facts. Obama was and is wrong about most things, but he was spectacularly wrong about Russia. So wrong, in fact, that now the party he used to lead always blames Russia for every single thing that goes wrong in America. Not only did the Cold War never end, but now it’s positively freezing. And that quote will live on forever, proving Obama was dumb.
And speaking of Dumb, let’s not forget his pal Dumber. Joe Biden also dunked on Romney for being right about Russia:
It’s doubtful that ol’ Joe remembers saying any of that. He can’t even remember which flavor of Ensure he had for breakfast. But if he does remember it, he hopes you don’t. Because now the Democrat party line on Russia is much, much different:

Upon return to Princeton, a faculty member greeted him on the street and said he was sorry about what had happened. Wang appreciated the sentiment, but not what followed. The professor attributed the ordeal to the Trump administration and to American spies’ infiltration of the Iranian state. Wang, he implied, had been mistaken for one. “I was arrested three months before Trump was elected,” Wang told me. “And I was told I was a hostage—that they knew I did nothing against Iran, and that I was nothing but a pawn.” He was galled. “This is what they believe at my own university! What are they teaching their students? The facts just don’t matter.”
Summing up the change in his view of Iran, Wang told author Graeme Wood, “I was f**king stupid. Unbelievably stupid. If I could go back, I would slap myself.” Instead he spends every day on Twitter commenting about Iranian policy.
