OPEN THREAD: This is serious business, serious business, serious business!

SEEN ON FACEBOOK: “My friend Jay asks a pertinent question. Since we have to have total mail in voting because of the ‘Rona, what other civil rights should be permitted via mail? Can we get guns via mail order again? Why should our citizens be forced to brave illness and death in order to purchase their 2nd Amendment guaranteed arms?”

NO PROBLEM. CALL IT A BLM PROTEST, AND EVERYONE WILL BE SAFE: Now They’re Throwing Huge Concerts in a Packed Water Park in Wuhan, China. “Note: No reported cases. That’s because the Chinese Communist Party isn’t reporting them. And the American press doesn’t point that out because they need that Chinese money. So if I go to my neighborhood Kroger without a mask, I’m a war criminal. But these folks can stand shoulder to shoulder in huge crowds and breathe all over each other, in the very city where this $#!+ started, and it’s just fine.”

MAYBE A BUNCH OF BEE FANS SHOULD SHOW UP AT JACK DORSEY’S HOUSE AND PROTEST. THAT’S HOW WE DO THINGS NOW, RIGHT? Twitter suspends the Babylon Bee.

UPDATE (From Ed): The Bee’s account has been restored, but as Iowahawk notes in a Twitter thread:

‘SURPRISE!’ Gavin Newsom’s epiphany about what California’s ‘transition away from fossil fuels’ has caused provides preview of nation’s possible Green New Deal future.

And note this:

Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2020 having to deal with the earlier meddling of Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom is very reminiscent of then-Gov. Jerry Brown, during the state’s water crises in the previous decade, having to deal with the mid-1970s efforts of then-Gov. Jerry Brown to deliberately hamstring future generations of Californians. Or as Victor Davis Hanson wrote in 2015, “Brown and other Democratic leaders will never concede that their own opposition in the 1970s (when California had about half its present population) to the completion of state and federal water projects, along with their more recent allowance of massive water diversions for fish and river enhancement, left no margin for error in a state now home to 40 million people.”

THROWING IT ALL AWAY IS WHAT LEFTIST POLITICS IS ALL ABOUT: How NYC championed broken windows policing and threw it away. “That wasn’t the aim, of course, but the mayhem unleashed by the marauders and quisling politicians ends the argument about whether James Q. Wilson and George Kelling got it right. The national disaster unfolding before our eyes validates their conclusions about human nature and common sense.”
