NY POST: Big Tech’s Sinister Pro-Biden Bias.

The “Facebook-owned social-media giant Instagram” is characterizing “well-established criticisms” of Joe Biden and his 1994 crime bill as “False,” reports blogger Glenn Greenwald. A post on the platform “said nothing more than what Biden’s chosen running mate, Kamala Harris, has herself said” — namely, that the ’94 law “contributed to the mass incarceration of Americans generally and African Americans specifically.” Indeed, many “media outlets, criminal-justice experts and politicians from both parties” have said the same. Yet Instagram plastered a “False” label on the post, saying it had “no basis in fact.” A tech giant declaring someone “a disseminator of disinformation for voicing long-standing and well-documented criticisms of” Biden is a scary preview of “a future in which unseen tech overlords police our discourse by unilaterally arbitrating truth and falsity, decree what are permissible and impermissible ideas and rigidly impose the boundaries of acceptable debate.”

They need to be made liable for censorship.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEF: Welcome to the Miserable Soviet Vaccine Mandate Hell. “Let me be clear: I’m pulling for every version of the COVID-19 vaccine that’s approved. I want these things to work so that we might be able to get back to living somewhat normal lives again. At least that’s how I would prefer it all work out. It’s beginning to look like the availability of the vaccine might just be a continuation of the dystopian freak show we’ve been living in.”

UNEXPECTEDLY: At 10 Years Old, the Affordable Care Act Is Aging Badly. “By almost any measure, the law has fallen short of its objectives. It included features that proved unpopular or unsustainable, led to a decade-long court battle with—of all groups—an order of Catholic nuns devoted to the poor, and it subsidized elective abortion without subscribers’ knowledge in violation of what the law plainly requires.”

SALENA ZITO: Livelihoods and Liberty Left in the Lurch. “Years from now, when we walk past the graves of the restaurants, shops, and gyms that didn’t make it, will we ask ourselves how we let this happen? Or will we have accepted that we laid down our liberties one day to flatten a curve and never fought to get them back?”

TRUMP’S DOJ NEEDS TO NAME A SPECIAL COUNSEL TO INVESTIGATE HUNTER ANYWAY: Aide: Biden Won’t Talk About Son Hunter with AG Candidates.

A friend comments: “In fairness he hasn’t discussed it with anyone but Hunter, and then only to demand his cut, as far as we know.”

GOALPOSTS, MOVED: The Left Redefines Resistance as ‘Sedition.’

It was inevitable that the Democrats would overreact to legal challenges by President Trump and other Republicans to corrupt election practices in swing states, but some responses have been unhinged even by their standards. One recurring refrain is particularly disturbing — that lawyers, members of Congress, and state attorneys general who supported post-election litigation are guilty of sedition. At least one Democratic congressman insists that attorneys representing the president in such challenges should be disbarred and that House members who supported Texas v. Pennsylvania in the Supreme Court shouldn’t be seated in Congress. One of the defendants in that ill-fated lawsuit described it as a “seditious abuse of the judicial process.”

This dangerous view of dissent has a long, sordid history among progressives. Democratic President Woodrow Wilson, for example, was the driving force behind the notorious Sedition Act of 1918, passed by his fellow Democrats at a time when they controlled both houses of Congress. This anti-democratic outrage made it a felony crime to criticize the government and, by extension, Wilson himself. A violation of the Sedition Act was punishable by a fine of as much as $10,000 and imprisonment for as long as 20 years. More than 2,000 American citizens were arrested and prosecuted pursuant to the Sedition Act. This crime against democracy was at length repealed by the Republicans after the GOP won majorities in both houses of Congress in the 1918 midterm elections.

Considering its ignoble history, one would think journalists would avoid a term like “sedition.”

Considering journalism’s ignoble present, there’s no surprise in journalists abusing a term like “sedition” for partisan gain.

HMM: Study reveals UV LED lights effectively kill the human coronavirus.

Due to the hazards of chemical methods, professionally designed UV LED disinfection systems may be a safer solution — one that can disinfect surfaces, air, and water.

According to Prof. Mamane, the researchers “killed the viruses using cheaper and more readily available LED bulbs, which consume little energy and do not contain mercury like regular bulbs.”

“Our research has commercial and societal implications, given the possibility of using such LED bulbs in all areas of our lives, safely and quickly.”

Exposure time varied between 60 and 90 seconds, which isn’t long at all.

BECAUSE OF COURSE THEY DO: Biden space advisers urge cooperation with China. “They assert that despite China’s pattern of stealing American technology and diverting it for military purposes, a limited space partnership between Washington and Beijing could reduce tensions and the likelihood of a destabilizing space race.”

WHY THE FUTURE IS TRUMPIST: “You can see that public opinion toward China has turned sharply negative all around the world over the last few years. Trump did that. And it will leave a residue that Biden will have to deal with. Biden—and craven corporate America that doesn’t want to see its lucrative Chinese market shrink—may try to go back to business as usual. But it will come at a political cost. Trump forever shattered the complacency of the China-accommodationists of both parties over the last 20 years.”

ANOTHER FREE FAIRY TALE ON MY BLOG: Blizzard.

And I’ll try to be on every night, but might miss occasionally over the next two weeks, for family commitment reasons.  So, don’t worry.

YES, THE WAR IS EVERYWHERE. BUT YES, IT HAS BEN EVERYWHERE A LONG TIME. I’VE BEEN AWARE OF IT TEN YEARS NOW.  IT’S PART OF THE REASON I JOINED THE FIGHT:  2020, The Invisible War.

BUT the good news the article mentions is true, also. You might feel despondent because of how corrupt our institutions are. But they’ve been if not this corrupt pretty close to it for 20 years.  You should rejoice because Trump caused the fraud and corruption to come to light.  “As in the day of judgement, when the secret of every heart shall be laid bare.”  Or if you prefer, he has painted targets on the enemy.  All we have to do, now, is fight it. And that’s much easier when we can see.

LISTEN MITCH, TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS SEEN THE LEFT UNFETTERED AND IN ACTION MORE OFTEN THAN YOU HAVE, EVEN IN CONGRESS: THE PEOPLE WHO CROSS RIGHT TO LEFT AND TRY TO KOWTOW FAVOR GET EATEN FIRST:  Leftists accuse Mitch McConnell of election fraud.

It’s very simple, see: unlike the right, where people at least tried to pretend to be honest and trustworthy, the left knows itself for what it is. They know they’re a bunch of backstabbers. But at least there’s honor among thieves. None of them betrays their comrades on the left.  So, why should they trust someone who blatantly betrayed their own side?  Think on that, Mitch.  Think on that very carefully.  Because the order of purges is always: Rightists who betrayed the right to curry favor; leftists who are insufficiently conformist and pliable.  Only after that do they get to people like me.  And that’s honestly kind of hit or miss because they always have trouble with target acquisition, plus find themselves confused by people who can stand up for themselves.  So, overall? It’s safer to stay on the right and be real resistance than to try to lick the feet of those you identify as your new masters. Remember that, Mitch. It could save your life, not just your job.
