DEEP MIND IN THE FOLD: The folding of protein structures that are key to understanding how diseases develop, spread and can be countered, among much, much else. Deep Mind, by the way, is owned by Alphabet, which owns Google, which owns the world.

Tech Crunch says “DeepMind’s technological leap could make accurately predicting these folds a much less time and resource-consuming process, which could dramatically change the pace at which our understanding of diseases and therapeutics progresses.”

As with so many technological advances, it’s not hard to envision good and bad consequences with this one. New challenges to civil liberties come to mind as well. And I have a hunch this just might also be a step forward in understanding the origin of life. But what do I know?

SO, SOME PEOPLE WERE REALLY HARD HIT BY THIS LOCKDOWN NONSENSE. AND THEY ARE FINDING NEW WAYS TO SURVIVE:  DarkWaterCrafting.

ON ICE. NON-GUILTY PARTIES WOULD BE CLAMORING FOR A FULL RECOUNT:  This Election Stinks.

WE CAN’T AFFORD CHINA-JOE NOW:  Chinese Lunar Landing Mission Challenges US Space Supremacy.

If the Thief-in-Chief is allowed to proffit from his theft, we WILL have Nazis on the moon. They will be Chinese, but really….. A Fascist is a Fascist is a Fascist.

THERE ARE SOME PARTS OF AMERICA THAT I WOULD NOT ADVISE YOU TO ATTEMPT TO HUMILIATE OR INCARCERATE: Daily Beast Editor Calls For “Humiliation” and “Incarceration” For Trump Supporters.

We have been discussing the rising threats against Trump supporters, lawyers, and officials in recent weeks from Democratic members are calling for blacklists to the Lincoln Project leading a a national effort to harass and abuse any lawyers representing the Republican party or President Trump. Others are calling for banning those “complicit” from college campuses while still others are demanding a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to “hold Trump and his enablers accountable for the crimes they have committed.” Now, Daily Beast editor-at-large Rick Wilson has added his own call for “humiliation,” “incarceration” and even ritualistic suicides for Trump supporters in an unhinged, vulgar column. Wilson declared “[o]nly exposure, pain, humiliation, and (inshallah) incarceration will lead to a moment of reckoning for the GOP.”

Not surprisingly, Wilson is a key advisor to the Lincoln Project which was blocked recently on Twitter for abusive doxxing efforts directed at Republican lawyers. His column captures the level of hateful rhetoric fueled by the Lincoln Project, which is funded by thousands of lawyers despite its attacks on fellow members of the bar for their representation.

Prediction: This will not end well for him.

ROGER SIMON: Despite Barr, Georgia Voter Fraud Investigation Continues.

Perdue, Dickey told me, was Trump’s favorite senator, in part because both were outsiders, businessmen who came late to politics and were not political lifers of the Pelosi-Biden ilk.

Both Dickey and my friend were early Trump supporters, realized the abnormalities in the presidential election were legion, but were now laser-focused on that senatorial race, as if it were a do or die situation for our country—and maybe it is.

The fear is that rural voters, almost all of whom are pro-Trump, are so fed up with the Republican establishment not supporting the president in his electoral protest that they won’t come out to vote in the runoff. But no one had an easy suggestion of how to help with that, short of recalling the current Republican governor and secretary of state.

Dems see this as a point of vulnerability, and suspiciously sock-puppetish people in my comments are pushing the teach-them-a-lesson-by-giving-the-Senate-to-the-Democrats line.

POLITICO WANTS IT TO BE ABOUT TRUMP, BUT IT’S REALLY ABOUT THE FDA SLOW-FOOTING THINGS: Trump to FDA: Why is Europe beating us on vaccine?

Multiple Trump appointees and even some career civil servants have argued that every day of delay could make a difference for the most vulnerable populations in a life-threatening pandemic. . . .

“It’s crazy to imagine the European Union or U.K. may approve a vaccine developed in the United States before us though, right?” said a senior official involved in the process.

Right.

Flashback: FDA publishes new guidelines for COVID-19 vaccine approval: New rules mean a COVID-19 shot is unlikely to be approved pre-election in the US.

OPEN THREAD: They all want to come but they never want to leave.
