DON’T BE LIKE CHE. “Every time I see some privileged person protest touring, I think of Che. Every time I hear about some insurrectionists starting shit in other people’s neighborhoods, I think of Che. Every time some twenty-something white dudes audaciously roll into a room like they have all the answers – summarily dismissing the experience and knowledge of everyone else there – I think of Che. Every time I see some supposed radicals who can’t recognize how inappropriate it is to ‘lead’ or ‘save’ or ‘help’ the poor people or black people or brown people, without bothering to ask their opinion about it, I think of Che.” It’s good that he was killed. HOW’S THAT HOPEY-CHANGEY STUFF WORKING OUT FOR YOU? Obama Cancels Public Speech In Rio Square:

On Thursday, members of an advance US security team were seen inspecting the surroundings of Cinelandia, where anti-US banners could be seen hanging from a road-side fence.

Some social and union groups have declared Obama a “persona non grata” and called for a protest, accusing him of a “bellicose policy of occupation” in foreign countries, and of attacking people “in the name of the war on terror.”

Remember when people thought that electing Obama would bring on pro-American sentiments around the globe? Me neither.

BLAME AMERICA FIRST:

Are Americans prone to violence after natural and man-made disasters? That’s the assertion of libtalker / Democratic Party strategist Bill Press, who used yesterday’s syndicated radio program to compare post-quake Japan to the US in derisive terms.

Citing looting after Hurricane Katrina and rioting in South-Central Los Angeles during the Rodney King incident, Press claimed the calm atmosphere in Japan proves Americans are “ruffians and thugs” by comparison.

Hmm. Those are mostly-black areas. Press’s comments sound kinda . . . racist, you know?
