SO I HAD LUNCH AT SONNY’S BBQ TODAY, AND IT WAS SAD. Today was their last day in business, as they’ve lost their lease and the restaurant will be torn down to build something fancier and more expensive. I don’t eat there all that much — mostly just when I’m running errands out that way on a Saturday — but the food’s always good, and the people are always friendly. Many of the folks I spoke to today had worked there for years, and they were clearly sad to leave. I’m sure they’ll find other restaurant jobs, but it’s kind of sad. And Sonny’s was also gun-friendly before that became a fad.
