TROUBLING BUT BASICALLY CORRECT: Almost Everything in “Dr. Strangelove” Was True.

Many years ago I talked with Yale Prof. Paul Bracken, author of The Command And Control Of Nuclear Forces, and what he said was consistent with this — particularly the period when U.S. doctrine wasn’t even “launch on warning,” but “launch on loss of warning.”
