I agree on the need for transparency and accountability in higher education — and, in fact, I think we need more of that in the nonprofit sector as a whole. The past couple of decades have seen an anormous expansion not only in higher-ed, but in the nonprofit world, and what used to be a small and narrow niche is now a very large and fast-growing part of the economy, one that gets surprisingly little scrutiny.
