It’s not quite the same thing, but to that list I’d add David Baron’s excellent book, The Beast in the Garden: The True Story of a Predator’s Deadly Return to Suburban America. In fact, there’s probably a deep sociological point in the contrast between this book, and the books that Tabor discusses.
