The students identified as the people behind a recent racist drawing found at Salisbury University’s library are black, school officials confirmed Tuesday.

The image, found April 10 on a whiteboard in Blackwell Library, showed a stick figure being hung and labeled with a racial slur. Underneath was the hashtag “#whitepower.”

The university confirmed Tuesday, April 26, the students involved in the incident were black, spokesman Richard Culver wrote in an email. The university would not provide names of the students, citing the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Yeah, if this were genuine and the students were white, we’d know their names.

MEANWHILE, IN TODAY’S FAKE HATE CRIME HYSTERIA NEWS: “At Austin Peay University in Tennessee, the campus erupted in outrage when rainbow nooses were discovered hanging from a tree. Social media exploded and every social justice warrior on campus felt the need to express their displeasure. But later, it was discovered that the nooses were an art project by a student looking to draw attention to the high number of suicides in the LGBT community.”

Considering we live in an era in which as the Daily Caller reported earlier this month, students at Indiana University “experienced a case of KKK hysteria Monday, as students mistook a robed Catholic priest for a member of the now-defunct white supremacist group,” what on earth did this poor student think would happen?

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER FAKE HATE CRIME: Protester at Kean U. Fabricated Threats Against Black Students, Police Say. “Online threats to “kill every black male and female” at Kean University were fabricated by a former student and activist, a New Jersey county prosecutor, Grace H. Park, announced on Tuesday. The Star-Ledger reports that Kayla-Simone McKelvey, who is black, was charged with a third-degree count of creating a false public alarm.”

So we have black students in Chicago posting fake threats against white students, and black students at Kean posting fake threats against black students. All because of white privilege, or something.

ANOTHER FAKE HATE CRIME: Muslim UT-Arlington student admits making up claim that gunman followed her to campus, threatened her.

A UT-Arlington student who claimed she was threatened at gunpoint on campus this week admitted Friday that she’d lied, a university spokeswoman said.

The student told police she hadn’t even been at the school the day she said the incident occurred. . . .

The university had issued an alert Friday that the student told police she had been followed six miles by a man in a pickup before she reached the campus. She had reported that when she parked at the university, the man threatened her and pointed a gun at her before he left.

The student also posted on social media that the man might have targeted her because she is Muslim. In a Facebook post, she referred to the killings of three Muslim students this week in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Chapel Hill police say a long-running parking dispute between neighbors motivated 46-year-old Craig Stephen Hicks to kill Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23; his wife, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha, 21; and her sister Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha, 19, at a condominium complex near the University of North Carolina campus.

A Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization has asked authorities to address speculation about possible religious bias in the Chapel Hill slayings.

If the facts don’t support the narrative, make up some facts.

ANOTHER FAKE HATE CRIME: “In March, hundreds of students at Central Connecticut State University held a rally to back Alexandra Pennell, a student who told the crowd that she had been receiving notes in her dormitory room attacking her for being a lesbian. Now Pennell has been expelled from the university and faces numerous criminal charges that she faked the notes.”

The problem with hate crime legislation is that it gives legal recognition, even if punitive, to those who would use violence to make a political point. Better just to throw an arsonist in prison for arson than to give him an opportunity to grandstand — and inspire others.

FAKE NEWS: Media trips over itself to make hate-crime narratives converge.

The picture became clearer as police departments and college campuses across the country responded to media and public pressure to address the “post-election hate spike.” Nearly every hate crime detailed in the article, which used the word “alleged” once, turned out to be a hoax or investigations remain ongoing, though some have been suspended due to lack of evidence.

Police suspended the investigation into “the robbery of a Muslim student at San Diego State University who wore traditional religious clothing” in December after no corroborating evidence emerged to confirm her account that two Trump supporters ripped off her hijab and stole her car. “The victim in this case you are referring to decided she no longer wanted to pursue the matter criminally,” a police spokesman told the Daily Caller on Dec. 23, adding that the report of a stolen car was “unfounded as the victim forgot where she parked her vehicle.”

The Washington Post mentioned the alleged incident six times in hate crime posts, including a Dec. 15 article contrasting it with a New York City hate crime hoax: “Muslim advocates expressed concern that Seweid’s episode would hurt the credibility of real anti-Muslim attacks and other hate crimes.” It never mentioned it again after the Caller’s report, nor did it update any previous stories that included the anecdote.

Read the whole thing. Although as you can probably guess, WaPo comes across as either sloppy, partisan, or just another purveyor of leftwing fake news.

FAKE NEWS: Southern Poverty Law Center omits Trump-related ‘hate crimes’ against white children: ‘They left that result out because it would not fit their ideological narrative.’

SO BASICALLY, IF YOU SEE A “HATE CRIME,” YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH ASSUME IT’S FAKE — OR, ANYWAY, PERPETRATED BY A LEFTY: At U of Michigan, a Muslim Student Unmasks the Hypocrite He Says Vandalized His Apartment: The perpetrator was a liberal activist and decorated campus Muslim leader who said American Sniper promoted violence.

You know what promotes violence? Leftist social-justice-war ideology.

And look at this sad tweet from Zeinab Khalil, the Michigan vandal mentioned above: “Spent 4 yrs at @umich doing anti-oppressive work; admins used me to educate campus. this is what i get in return as exhausted/exploited alum.”

“Admins used me” is the key phrase. But note the illiterate presentation. Maybe she should have spent more time in English class, less on “anti-oppressive work.”
