BUT WOULD HE CAUCUS WITH THE GOP TO KEEP THE MAJORITY? Fetterman draws red line for Democratic Party, says he would leave if it abandons Israel. “The warning comes the same day that over 100 House Democrats voted against sending more aid to Israel, though the amendment containing the proposal failed to pass because of wide Republican support.”

THAT’S THEIR FLOOR, NOT THEIR CEILING: Arizona Congressional Dem hopeful caught following OnlyFans, witchcraft accounts.
The official campaign Instagram account of Arizona Democratic congressional hopeful JoAnna Mendoza bizarrely followed multiple OnlyFans models, witchcraft accounts, and sexually explicit content producers.
Mendoza at one point followed a dozen accounts that frequently share sexually explicit content, including a transgender socialist who is known for sharing images of sex toys, according to screenshots of the follows taken and reviewed by The Post.
Her official Instagram account has nearly 12,000 followers and is following 1,230 users. She is still following several of the accounts in question.
At least she doesn’t have a Nazi tattoo… that we’re aware of.

CHRISTOPHER F. RUFO AND RYAN THORPE: The Racialist State. “With a whole-of-government effort tilted toward equity, California is poised to become the next South Africa.”
Predictably, the measures deemed necessary in the aftermath of apartheid have become permanent. For many of the country’s leaders, the question is no longer whether racial redistribution is permissible; instead, the question is how extreme the racial redistribution will be. Race has been reinforced as a continual site of social conflict, instead of fading into the background of a multiethnic society.
Three decades later, the South Africa model is being replicated in an unlikely place: California. The state’s leaders have increasingly embraced a radical, race-based vision of politics that echoes South Africa’s post-apartheid experiment in racialized government.
For much of the twentieth century, California was a refuge for those fleeing the racism and discrimination of the Deep South. During the Great Migration’s second wave, black families set up in Los Angeles, Oakland, and San Francisco, seeking middle-class jobs and a better life for their children. California was seen by many as a utopia, with stunning physical beauty, abundant economic opportunity, and a political culture that embraced individualism and meritocracy, rewarded risk taking, and upheld the equality of all people under the law. That era is over.
This City Journal investigation—based on an extensive review of government records, reports, and legislation, as well as interviews with leading legal scholars—reveals that during the past 15 years of one-party rule, California Democrats have worked tirelessly to import South Africa’s post-apartheid playbook to the Golden State.
We know how this ends.
But as Glenn noted yesterday about Mamdani and New York City, “When you realize its goal is to cement losers into power, it never fails. The purpose of a system is what it does.”

Tragically, no matter what evidence he presents, it will be disputed, dismissed and/or ignored by people who will shriek dictatorship and election-rigging when he moves to address the corruption.
Tragically, because confidence in election outcomes is now a partisan issue.

ANALYSIS: TRUE. Reducing Violent Crime Isn’t Complicated, You Just Have to Want to Do It. “Nor is it a coincidence that the record influx of illegal immigrants during the Biden administration coincided with a sharp increase in violent crime. It is equally unsurprising that crime has fallen as deportations have increased. Deportation records show that 70 percent of illegal immigrants deported during the Trump administration had either criminal convictions or pending criminal charges in the United States. Even those who avoid arrest understand that any contact with law enforcement could lead to deportation, giving them a strong incentive to stay off the police’s radar and avoid committing additional crimes.”

WELL, YEAH: Critics cast doubt on Biden’s claims he personally wrote upcoming memoir.
Conservatives and other critics raised doubts about Biden’s claim that he’d written the book, which is called “Promise Me, America.”
Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt said that Biden couldn’t write his own name, so he’s not writing books, referring to Biden’s reported use of the autopen to sign documents.
“Politicians write books to launder money. Nobody wants to read this, but the corrupt NGOs he provided for as President will buy up 100K copies and burn ’em to hold up their end of the bribes,” Pratt said on X.
Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., also chimed in, asking, “How many chapters are about your time hiding in the basement while someone else ran the White House?”
Conservative commentator Steve Guest said, “The first lie of Joe Biden’s book launch: ‘I’ve written a book.'”
Most of these things are ghost-written, but Biden’s memoir might be the first to be ghost-remembered.

THE EV BUBBLE DENIES DEFLATION RUMORS: Lucid dismisses report that it is weighing filing for bankruptcy or going private after shares plunge.
A site focused on electric vehicles called EV reported Tuesday Lucid was considering going private or filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. According to the site, the company asked AlixPartners to review those options and deliver its findings to Lucid’s board before its next meeting.
The report from EV also said AlixPartners had encouraged the board to further restructure in the U.S. and Europe and to focus on the Gravity SUV.
AlixPartners said it had no comment on the report. Lucid said in a statement that “the rumors are completely false.”
I guess we’ll see. But unlike Tesla or even Rivian, I never see any Lucid vehicles in EV-friendly Colorado.
