Turns out it’s him who’s doing the coordinating, and secrecy is his vehicle. Based on news like this, it turns out all that secrecy wasn’t really about Those Bad Witnesses who might plot to get their stories straight as each hears and responds to the next one.

It’s actually about Schiff’s own coordinatings — which is an entire panoply of manipulating witnesses in different ways to advance his “narrative.”

On the one hand, Schiff browbeats and distorts the words of the witnesses who don’t say what he wants in his secret basement hearings, and then on the other, in still more secrecy, he coordinates for the best advantage with the ones who will say exactly what he wants them to say.

Secrecy see, allows him to get what he wants both ways.

This whole thing stinks.

The Washington Post reports that a career State Department officer tried to warn officials in the Obama administration about the conflict of interest that Hunter Biden’s work created in Ukraine and with efforts to target corruption. When those warnings reached the Vice President’s office in early 2015, Biden’s team shut them down.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver revealed on Thursday that the Chinese government insisted the league fire Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey over a now-deleted October 4 tweet supporting the protesters in Hong Kong, according to Time.

“We made clear that we were being asked to fire him, by the Chinese government, by the parties we dealt with, government and business,” Silver said in his first US interview about the league’s ongoing free speech scandal. “We said there’s no chance that’s happening. There’s no chance we’ll even discipline him.”

Speaking at the TIME 100 Health Summit, Silver noted that “The losses have already been substantial,” adding “Our games are not back on the air in China as we speak, and we’ll see what happens next.”

Maybe decoupling from China is what happens next, or at least ought to.

When the S10 was launched, in March, Samsung described the fingerprint authentication system as “revolutionary”.

The scanner sends ultrasounds to detect 3D ridges of fingerprints in order to recognise users.

Samsung said it was “aware of the case of S10’s malfunctioning fingerprint recognition and will soon issue a software patch”.

South Korea’s online-only KaKao Bank told customers to switch off the fingerprint-recognition option to log in to its services until the issue was fixed.
