Okay.  This is sad.  Also, I wonder if he rode a bicycle to the store.

ALL stuff on two wheels is connected to sex, even when motorized.  Remember that!

Most ethical adminis–  Oh, never mind!

Well, yes, but at least they HAVE a budget.  I remember when we had budgets!

Of course, I think there are already bans on groping women while riding a bike.  One doesn’t know whether to be shocked, or to admire the rogue bicyclist for his dexterity.

As a frequent pedestrian, I should think the risk of getting killed if hit should be enough deterrent.  If it isn’t, then big-nanny law enforcement won’t do it.  You can see what’s next on this, right?  Walking helmets.  And bans on eating, reading, window shopping listening to music or talking on the phone while walking. Minding our own safety is too much for the likes of us.  We must let nanny mind for us.

I for one would really like to see the President’s college transcripts.  I think in his vaunted intellectual prowess we’re facing a deception of Elizabeth Warren proportions.  But I could be wrong.  Very smart people can be startlingly dumb.  So — Why can’t we see the transcripts?

Apology — I’m trying to schedule posts while typing with a numbed finger.  If you see magically appearing and disappearing posts, that’s me mistyping.  I’m going to stay away from keyboard now, till anesthesia wears off.

I first heard of Larry Correia when he  said something about “Vampires shouldn’t sparkle, unless they’re on fire.”  I immediately knew that we’d get along, and I was right.  About this Otherwhere Gazette interview of Larry, I have to say that while it’s not bad, he’s far more amusing in person and in his own writing.  If you don’t believe me, check out his blog.

Is this the administration line?  Blame Bush for everything?  Or is it Biden being Biden?  (Come the zombie apocalypse, a zombie locked in with this man would starve.)

While local control is preferable to impersonal central control, while it’s easier to move to another city than another country, while authoritarianism in a small scale is better than authoritarianism on a larger scale, statism starts with the words “there ought to be a law” for every small, pesky annoyance.  Statism begins at home, and the fight to roll it back must begin in every town and city council.

Is it bad that I’m starting to lament we didn’t get President Biden in 08?  Not only do I agree with him on the gay marriage issue, but well…  The gaffe-prone vice president had been relatively on message for months. But on Sunday, he referred to the likely Republican presidential nominee as “President Romney” and to his own boss as “President Clinton.” And he inadvertently set off a frenzy on same-sex marriage, not because his position was surprising but because it made Obama’s look all the more absurd.   I think he’s misunderstood.  He’s ALWAYS been a performance artist.

Awesome science: Black Hole Eats Star.  Apparently a less common event than you’d think.  Black holes have been afflicted by a reputation analogous to that of sharks. Everyone seems to thinks black holes go hunting around the Universe for things to rip apart, just like sharks supposedly go killing everything in the ocean.  Apparently the reputation isn’t deserved.  OTOH I, for one, think Black Hole Sharks Of The Galaxy would make a great science fiction b-movie.

It probably won’t surprise anyone that since I aspire to being the mad-cat-woman of science fiction (Yes, the competition is stiff.  Well, actually it’s soft, fuzzy and on occasion purrs) I love the idea of cat cafes and I’m thrilled to see them expanding out of Japan.  I wonder if the FDA would allow it to flourish here.
