BUT ITALY! IS CONSIDERED THE CLINCHING ARGUMENT ON ANY ARGUMENT ABOUT THE POTENTIAL FATALITIES OF THE CHINESE FLU.  WELL, IT TURNS OUT THE ANSWER IS “BUT ITALY IS COOKING THE BOOKS”:  Why have so many coronavirus patients died in Italy?

In addition to counting all facilities as due to Xi-disease if the patient tests positive for it, even if they die by being hit by a car, I understand they’re also testing people who have died before they started testing, and if they test positive, that’s suddenly the cause of death.

Why would a sane country do that? Well, it turns out that Italy’s medical system is lousy, and … well, it has issues, let’s say. 

For completely different reasons, and possibly in a different direction, numbers from Italy are about as reliable as numbers out of China.  (Now, can someone please tell the governor of my state he’s embarrassing himself, the state, and possibly America (not to mention humanity.)  As for other governors like Newsom….  It’s possible you can’t tell them anything. It would require means of communication beyond what sane humans can command.  Look, it was a good effort to get Orangemanbad. But if they keep this up, it’s going to backfire like they wouldn’t believe. Also, it will hurt people, particularly young working people. (Not that they care.)
