BIDEN TEAM MANIPULATES VACCINE DATA: Issues & Insights applied their rigorous analytical skills to the Biden administration’s latest claims regarding the progress of vaccinations among Americans. The result is not a pretty picture but it is a revealing one:

“On the front page of WhiteHouse.gov is a bar chart showing how many shots have been delivered relative to Biden’s new goal of 200 million shots by April 29. (See chart below.)

“There’s a curious feature about this chart, however. Based on the scale, there were zero shots administered on Day 1 of the Biden administration. The chart is divided up into equal 50 million shot increments. So, it appears that on Biden’s ‘Day 1’ there’d been none, when in fact there had already been more than 21 million shots administered.”

And pointing to a recent Politico report, Issues & Insights notes that Biden has abandoned his much-ballyhooed plan to speed up vaccinations by creating a flood of government-backed sites for administering the shots:

“Biden is abandoning his hugely expensive government-run vaccination program and relying on a private-sector arrangement established by Trump to get vaccines out quickly. Yet the White House has the gall to imply that no vaccines had been administered when Biden took office?”

That’s what I like about these I&I guys, they are so diplomatic in their questions!

COVID IS THE LEFT’S INVENTED ‘PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER ONE:’ The Wall Street Journal’s James Freeman, in a column I admittedly missed earlier this week, applied this fact to Monday’s White House “press briefing” with the Biden Covid team.

“On Monday government disease experts Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Rochelle Walensky reasonably and responsibly urged Americans to get vaccinated and to take care in avoiding infection.

“But they also went beyond reasonable admonitions, fearfully encouraging continued restrictions by state governments without even addressing the pros and cons, as if lockdowns have been proven to work and have no negative impact on public health …

“Dr. Walensky set the tone early in the discussion by saying, ‘I’m going to reflect on the recurring feeling I have of impending doom.’ Dr. Fauci made his case for ‘why we cannot pull back on our mitigation efforts.’”

One might ask how much power over the public would Fauci, Walensky and the rest of the Covid response team have if the virus were to suddenly disappear entirely from among the American public?

WANT AN ADVANCE LOOK AT VACCINE PASSPORT AMERICA? Check out this report by The Epoch Times’ Daniel Teng on the list of 5,000 foreigners tracked by China’s pervasive internal surveillance system. The lead photo of dozens of surveillance cameras on a beam in Hangzhou is chilling.

COWARDS, CROOKS OR COMPROMISED: That’s the question asked by The American Thinker’s Andrew W. Coy. I’m not sure if any of those three descriptors applies. That said, the Supreme Court remains in Alexander Hamilton’s famous formulation “the least dangerous branch” of the federal government.

Yet, it also remains the only one that can declare acts of either of the other two unconstitutional and thereby illegal. So why has the five-member conservative majority on the present Supreme Court so resolutely refused to accept any cases having to do with the 2020 presidential election and claims that it was rife with fraud? Coy is anything but in making his assessment clear.

AZ HIRES FOUR FIRMS TO AUDIT 2.1 MILLION BALLOTS: It’s getting virtually no coverage in the MSM, but the Epoch Times reports Arizona’s state senate is moving ahead with an audit and recount of Maricopa County’s 2.1 million November 2020 ballots. What happens if they confirm something was stolen?

DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TITAN AND THE TITANIC? Brook McIntire of the Colson Center explains why that difference is important in responding to claims the Easter Resurrection story was merely borrowed from ancient pagan myths.

$83 MILLION FOR PLANNED PARENTHOOD TO FIGHT COVID: Right, PP took the $83 million intended to help small businesses survive the Pandemic lockdowns and used it to prevent Covid deaths? That’s telling us that warm yellow liquid running down our legs is just rainwater, my friends.

TRUMP’S WEB SITE GOES LIVE: How long before Big Tech finds a way to hack and close it?

YES, THE COVID REPORTING GOT MORE POSITIVE AFTER JAN. 20: I’m sure it’s absolutely, totally and completely coincidental, but the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) took a long look at Covid reporting and found it took a big turn toward optimism after Joe Biden entered the Oval Office as President.

I’m guessing Gail Heriot’s reaction to this news is something along the lines of “ya think?”

‘YELLOW JOURNALISM’ GOES DEEP BLUE WHEN VILIFYING CHRISTIANS: Take a stroll over to the PJ Media site and check out my latest column, on why Kim Strassel is right about “Blue Journalism.” What the New York Times and Washington Post have done trying to link the Atlanta massage parlor massacre to evangelical Christianity is Exhibit A.

NO, NICK KRISTOF, MORE PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIANITY IS NOT GOOD FOR AMERICA: The well-known New York Times columnist is just tickled pink that progressive Christianity — aka more recently as the “Woke Church” — is getting more attention these days, thanks to self-proclaimed Catholic Joe Biden in the Oval Office.

Natasha Crain, by contrast, is not a New York Times regular — though her presence there would certainly give both proof that the age of miracles is not done and hope that old grey lady might yet be saved. But Crain lights up Kristof’s column and leaves little more than smoky cinders behind.

Consider just this passage from Crain, which begins with a bolded Kristof quote:

“’Young and middle-aged Americans could be forgiven for thinking that Jesus was a social conservative who denounced gay people and harangued the poor to lift themselves up by the bootstraps, until he was crucified for demanding corporate tax cuts.’

“This is obviously a ridiculous characterization of Christianity and Jesus in particular. If people have this idea of Jesus, they either haven’t read the Bible, or they’ve read too many articles like those of Kristof that repeatedly mischaracterize what those who hold to the historic Christian faith actually believe.

“But more importantly, here is where Kristof begins to blur the lines and equivocate between progressive theology and progressive politics. Notice how he moves from a strictly moral issue (homosexuality) to primarily economic ones (policy decisions on how to help the poor or tax businesses). This is a common move of politically progressive Christians. While they popularly accuse politically conservative Christians of mixing politics and religion, they frequently do the same, bundling progressive politics with what Jesus would ‘really’ want.”

That’s just a taste. Crain ends her lengthy nuking of Kristof by observing that the “oversimplified, assumption-ridden narrative that we find in Kristof’s piece is precisely why people can’t have reasonable conversations today.” Crain should be much better known among political conservative because she has a fine hand for defending the truths of scripture and basic logic against caricatures of both from the Left.

DID YOU KNOW MOSES WAS LEFT OUT OF THE PASSOVER SEDER? Jeff Dunetz at The Lid has come up with the perfect way to make it up to Moses — 14 famous movie scenes featuring the Prophet. Why 14? Because in the Old Testament, seven is the number for perfection and Jeff wanted Moses to have double satisfaction!

(Bumped.)

IS AMERICA APPROACHING A SEX DEPRESSION: Writing for the Institute for Family Studies, Nicholas Wolfinger examines the data and concludes that, yes, a strong case can be made for the suggestion.

Wolfinger also notes this about the role of social media:

“We’ve been bowling alone for decades now, withdrawing from various social institutions. Perhaps withdrawal from sex is the logical next step? Some Americans have somehow sublimated, submerged, or substituted their innately human desire for sex in lives increasingly lived online, in social media, and in video games.”

DID HISTORY’S MOST INFLUENTIAL MAN NOT EXIST? British philosopher Bertrand Russell once argued the Jesus of the New Testament never actually existed. Shane Morris of the Colson Center offers three solid reasons the facts prove otherwise.

By the way, could it be that arguments like Russell’s presage our own era in which secular progressive proponents of Critical Race Theory present with straight faces claims that on their face have only the remotest connection with reality?

BIDEN UNHINGED: Since when are state legislative efforts to ensure that every legal vote can be cast and then accurately counted “sick” and “despicable” and so much more racist than “Jim Crow” that they warrant the label “Jim Eagle”?

When Joe Biden is plodding through his first news conference as President, selecting the favored reporters to ask softball questions for which his staff has prepared answers in his notes on the podium in front of him. It was all so obviously staged to minimize exposing Biden to those trick questions that evil Peter Doocy of Fox News was waiting to spring on him.

Here’s a HT to Issues & Insights for describing the facts about all those “despicable” Republican state legislative efforts to prevent Democrats from rigging future elections like they did the last one, using their H.R. 1 power-grab masquerading as something “for the people.”

HERE’S WHAT BIG TECH SHOULD WORRY ABOUT: Forget the huffing and puffing of the average Washington politician about Big Tech censorship and reforming Section 230. Even if they eventually do something there, it will take lots of time and even then the career bureaucrats will a hundred ways around it.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio) described the effects on young people, especially teens, of being constantly subjected to Big Tech algorithmic manipulation. Big Tech’s power privileges will end when America’s Moms and Dads realize what’s being done to their kids.

HERE’S WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT THE BLOOD LIBEL AGAINST JEWS: The Lid’s Jeff Dunetz explains why the weeks leading up to the Passover holiday are often the most dangerous of times for the Jewish people around the world.

CANCEL CULTURE STRIKES AGAIN: Michael Eignor is Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics at State University of New York, Stony Brook and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Natural and Artificial Intelligence.

Joshua Swamidass is a computational biologist who is also the founder of Peaceful Science and an associate professor of laboratory and genomic medicine and biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis.

Both smart guys, one assumes. But Eignor argues that Swamidass, who claims to respect Christian colleges “unique character” but wants to hold them to “higher standards,” is actually arguing for a new form of censorship aimed at stamping out all approaches to origins science that is not neo-Darwinian. You decide which one is correct.

HE FOUGHT IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN. NOW HE’S FIGHTING IN VIRGINIA: If you happen to be in Northern Virginia near Fredericksburg and are looking for a place to eat, check out Matt Strickland’s Gourmeltz.

Why? Because a Virginia judge just awarded Strickland a victory against Gov. Ralph “Blackface” Northam’s Covid restrictions. Strickland has refused to require either employees or customers to wear masks or socially distance.

“I’m not afraid of the state. I’m not afraid of the federal government. I spent most of my adult life fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have no problem coming home and fighting here in Virginia,” Faithwire quoted him telling a local tv station.

THE TIMELINE THAT UPENDED EASTER DEBATE: There are 13 days left before Easter, so there is a bit more talk than usual about the event that precipitated the holiday. It wasn’t that long ago that doctoral students claiming a literal resurrection of Christ would be laughed off campus.

But the debate has radically changed in recent years, due in great part to the timeline Dr. Gary Habermas explains in this excerpt from a famous lecture he delivered at the Veritas Forum. It’s based entirely on sources skeptics and believers largely agree are credible. That’s why it changed the debate from derision to a genuinely open discussion.

MAYORKAS CLAIMS BORDER IS ‘CLOSED:’ Right. And President Biden regularly works out on a Stair Climber. Meanwhile, Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) predicts a million illegal border crossings by summer.

YOU KNEW IT: Joe Schoffstall, with help from Matthew Foldi, exposes the left-wing money machine behind Fix Our Senate, the “grassroots” campaign to blow up the filibuster.

NEWSOM PRAISED BY ANTI-VAXXERS: Interesting how Washington Free Beacon needles California’s recallable governor this morning.

ABOUT THAT ‘AMERICAN COMPASS’ LABOR MOVEMENT: Capital Research Center’s (CRC) Michael Watson, intrigued by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) supporting the unionization movement within Amazon, did some digging into American Compass and found a couple of major Lefty funding outfits.
