KERRY DIDN’T GET THE MESSAGE: About China being the Biden gang’s territory, that is. Alana Goodman at the Washington Free Beacon reports John Kerry has a $1 million stake in the Hillhouse China Value Fund, LLP. And what is that, you might be asking?

“Last December, that private equity fund, Hillhouse China Value Fund L.P., purchased a 6 percent stake in LONGi Green Energy, a Chinese solar panel manufacturer, making it the company’s second largest shareholder,” Goodman reports.

“LONGi has come under fire from human rights groups and U.S. lawmakers for sourcing many of its raw materials from companies suspected of using forced labor in Xinjiang, a region in northwest China where the government has cracked down on the Uyghur population and other ethnic minorities.”

Somebody better let Kerry know about the territory thing; otherwise, there’s going to be blood in the street and, as all smart mobsters know, it’s not good for business when da boyz is killin’ each uddah.

SCHOOL BOARD LETTER RETRACTED: It happened Friday, so it got little coverage, but that National School Board Association letter on parents and “domestic terrorism” that prompted Attorney General Merrick Garland’s memo has been retracted, Washington Free Beacon reports.

VAX RATE NOW LOWER UNDER BIDEN: His Fraudulency claims at every turn that his vaccine mandates are working, but, as Issues & Insights points out, the reality is the daily rate of Americans getting the jab is lower today than they were just before he announced them in September.

And A I&I points out, “vaccination rates are no guarantee that COVID rates will decline. The United Kingdom, to cite on example, is right now experiencing a surge in COVID cases, even though 73 percent of its population is either fully or partially vaccinated.

“In contrast, new COVID cases have been steadily falling in Mexico in recent weeks, where only 40 percent of the population is fully vaccinated and another 14 percent partially so.”

TRUMP, BIDEN IN VIRTUAL DEAD HEAT: What if the 2020 presidential election were re-run, matching Donald Trump and Joe Biden? Looks like a dead heat, with an ever-so-slight lead for the latter, according to the latest Issues & Insights/TIPP poll.

“The data come from the October I&I/TIPP Poll of 1,308 adults was conducted online from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 by TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence, I&I’s polling partner. The analysis for this story is based 955 Americans who voted in 2020 and revealed their 2020 vote.  The margin of error for the analysis is +/-3.3 percentage points.

“In it, we asked: ‘If the presidential election were held today, and the following were the candidates, for whom would you vote?’ Respondents were given the choices of ‘Donald Trump,’ ‘Joe Biden,’ ‘Other,’ or ‘Not sure.’ Overall, Biden still leads Trump by 45 percent to 44 percent, with 6 percent choosing ‘other’ and 5 percent saying ‘not sure.'”

One can only wonder how, after what’s happened since January 20, such a result could still be obtained.

MAYBE WHISTLING IN THE DARK: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is all bubbly and excited because, she told reporters this morning, “We had a very positive meeting this morning; I’m very optimistic. It’s exciting, because whatever it is, it’s going to be bigger than anything we’ve ever done for the American people.”

That last “for” should probably be “to.” Note: If you have a couple of wavering votes, one way to push them across is to announce the deal is all but done, so they will finally cave.

WHAT THEY’RE TEACHING OUR KIDS: If you doubt for one second the seriousness of the issues involved in who decides what children in public schools are taught, watch the uncensored version of the Virginia “textbook.” Barring a public rebellion, if it’s not already, this garbage will soon be in public schools across the country.

AMERICA’S TWO COUNTER-CULTURES: The Washington Free Beacon’s Matthew Continetti sees America riven by the conflict between two counter-cultures, one on the Left and one on the Right, with what once was called “the Silent Majority” trapped between the combatants.

GARLAND ADMITS HE MISSED OCT. 14 VIOLENCE: Attorney General Merrick Garland admitted to Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) that he was not aware of the violent assault mounted October 14 by Left-wing extremists against the Department of Interior headquarters building in Washington, D.C. The Florida congressman was amazed.

WORLD’S OLDEST CRAB FOUND IN AMBER: Meet Cretapsara, a 100 million-year old crab remarkably preserved in Amber, according to phys.org.  It appears to have been unearthed somewhere in the vicinity of Myitkyina, Burma, and was obtained by researchers in China.

Being a long-time resident of Maryland, which is all about crabs, this discovery instantly caught my eye. Fossils found in amber typically are land creatures, so finding a crab preserved in this manner is extraordinarily rare.

UPDATE ON ‘THE CHOSEN’ TRAIL-BLAZING SERIES: “The Chosen” crowd-funded series on the life of Jesus Christ is nearing the launch of its third season and to date it has set new high marks in multiple categories. Among the most notable is how the series has proven crowd-funded entertainment has an exciting future, and not just in religious programming.

Writer and director Dallas Jenkins conveniently summarizes the first two seasons and provides a peek at what’s coming in season three. Things are about to get significantly more tense! BTW, one need not be a follower of Jesus to appreciate the stagecraft, acting and screenplay quality of this production.

DEMS SEE NO END TO BORDER SURGE: That appears to be the case, judging by the budget Senate Democrats are proposing for the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency. Joe Simonson of the Washington Free Beacon ran the numbers in the bill text and concluded CBP would get $500 million less in 2022 than it did this year.

Not to worry, though, because, Simonson reports, the bill also provides for construction of more immigrant processing centers on the border. That way there will be minimal delays to the border crossers on their way from wherever they come from to wherever in the U.S. they decide to go.

But wait, there’s more!

“The bill forbids Homeland Security Investigations, an arm of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, from enforcing immigration laws. It instead directs the agency to only focus on ‘the disruption of transnational crime,’ such as drug trafficking or money laundering.

“The proposed cuts come as the southern border faces a decades-high surge of illegal immigrants attempting to enter the United States. Immigration authorities expect to report nearly two million migrant encounters at the border this fiscal year, the first time the number has exceeded one million since 2006.”

TEAR DOWN THAT WALL: Senate Dems appear to be setting the stage to pull down the Trump wall on the border with Mexico.

KEEP POLITICS OUT OF THE CHURCHES, UNLESS IT’S FOR DEMOCRATS: Kylee Zempel reminds us of the incessant bleating during the Trump era about his support among “White Evangelicals” and “Separation of Church and State:”

It emerged in the Never Trump movement when he became the GOP nominee and many faithful Christians decided they would vote for him.

“It happened during the Bible photo op outside St. John’s Church near the White House, a story that was lied about relentlessly by the corrupt media then used to smear Trump and his Christian supporters. It happened during the 2020 presidential race when Trump was juxtaposed with self-proclaimed Christians Pete Buttigieg and Joe Biden. And it occurred nonstop after the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, just to name a few.”

But none of that matters when it is Vice President Kamala Harris delivering a blatantly partisan appeal in 300 Virginia churches on behalf of fellow Democrat Terry McAuliffe’s campaign to secure another four year term as Virginia’s Governor. Hypocrisy gets deeper and deeper in such precincts.

PATRICK HENRY IS SPINNING IN HIS GRAVE: Hans Bader on Liberty Unyielding reports that a Fairfax County woman obtained documents through Virginia’s freedom of information process about the local school board’s spending on legal fees. Another Fairfax County woman published the documents after deleting confidential information.

Now a state judge has upheld the school board’s demand that the information be removed from the Internet and the documents returned to officials.

“This was a flagrant, obvious violation of Supreme Court rulings declaring that such court orders against speech are unconstitutional ‘prior restraints’ that violate the First Amendment,” Bader writes of the judge’s order.

“The Supreme Court has long made clear that people can’t be prevented from publishing information given to them by the government, even when the government gave them that information by mistake, and even when the information is highly private in nature. (See, e.g., Florida Star v. B.J.F. (1989)).

“As of today, the ACLU has not said one word about this highly-publicized instance of censorship, which has been widely discussed in the media in the last couple weeks, such as at Fox News, on TV, and in print publications.”

The saddest part of it is that nobody should be surprised by the Woke ACLU’s silence.

But guess what, according to federal data made public today by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the reality is immigrants, including illegals, are more likely than natural born citizens to report the crimes they suffer.
