BLESS HER HEART: Greta Thunberg leads pro-Palestinian backlash against Ed Sheeran.
Greta Thunberg and Lewis Hamilton have rowed in behind the pro-Palestine support acts that have dropped out of Ed Sheeran’s tour.
The Swedish activist said Sheeran being “cancelled” showed that “global consciousness has shifted” in support of Palestinian causes.
The controversy erupted after Macklemore, a US rapper, called for a “free Palestine” onstage at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey this month while supporting the American leg of Sheeran’s Loop tour.
The rapper, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, was droppedafter pressure from Robert Kraft, the billionaire owner of the Kraft Group and Gillette Stadium, where Sheeran is due to play later this month.
Hamilton expressed his solidarity with Macklemore on Tuesday. The Formula One Driver wrote on Instagram: “Thank you for using your voice, standing with you.”
Sheeran has denied being involved in the decision to remove the rapper but has faced a wave of criticism, with all other support acts quitting the tour in solidarity with Macklemore.
In a statement on Tuesday, Sheeran said he had his “own views” on the conflict in the Middle East, which he did not want to share publicly.

Sheeran has never been a political personality, preferring to remain in neutral territory – kind of refreshing for an entertainer in this day and age – and made clear that this has been the promoter’s call: remove the blatantly antisemitic Macklemore or lose the venue.
Suddenly, the other scheduled acts, including Sheeran’s own band, are sliding off into the night ‘in solidarity’ with the Jew-hating Macklemore.
Well, gosh – tells you all about them, doesn’t it?
It’s also telling who is loudly condemning Sheeran while supporting the ‘Free Palestine’ tool.
It is a veritable roster of Jew haters and communists.

Since they’re now both arguing about who should be the opening act on a rock and roll tour of football stadiums, it’s wonderful to see that they’ve each sufficiently healed the planet so that we can blissfully head to the show, and not worry about global warming about to doom mankind. (Besides, all those talking points on the left have shifted to AI.)
