REP. MATT GAETZ (R-FL) JUST BROUGHT A BLOW TORCH TO THE IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS AND SET A GLORIOUS BONFIRE: “‘To all of the witnesses: if you have personal knowledge of a single material fact in the Schiff report, please raise your hand.’ *silence*”
Related: Impeachment Witness Pamela Karlan Insults Barron Trump for Some Reason: “There’s an unwritten rule in politics that the children of politicians are off-limits. You don’t attack the president’s kids, no matter how much you hate the president. Of course, as with most rules of politics, this only applies when the target is a Democrat. You could bash George W. Bush’s daughters all day long for eight years, but you couldn’t dare say anything about Sasha or Malia Obama. Back when Bill Clinton was president, Rush Limbaugh caused a national scandal by insulting the then-teenage Chelsea Clinton. But it’s okay to insult the teenage child of a president who ran and won as a Republican. That’s different.”
And Karlan issues a classic non-apology apology afterwards: “I want to apologize for what I said earlier about the president’s son. It was wrong of me to do that. I wish the president would apologize, obviously, for the things that he’s done that’s wrong, but I do regret having said that.”
