The reaction to Charlie Kirk’s murder in the Jewish and Israeli communities is unlike anything I have ever seen. Everyone is eulogizing Charlie — everyone. Every politician, rabbi, and just everyday citizen— everyone feels impacted.

A rabbi went on Fox News and called him “the Abraham of our times.”

I had no idea how important Charlie was to Jews until this morning. I do not recall seeing this level of impact by an individual on the Jewish community— ever. I wonder if Charlie even knew how important he was to these people when he was alive.

Charlie’s life’s work was more important and influential than I ever realized when he was alive.

This, too: “I can’t remember the last time so many officials, journalists and commentators here in Israel made statements about the death of someone who wasn’t an elected politician or statesman of some kind. I hope it brings his family some comfort knowing the Jewish state feels their pain.”
