BIDEN: I Am ‘Prepared’ To ‘Shut’ The United States ‘Down’ To Stop The Coronavirus.
As Stephen Miller tweets, “The first shutdown wasn’t on presidential orders or authority (because it doesn’t exist). It was on governors. So the follow up here naturally of course was on what authority will President Biden ‘Shut down’ the country. Right? That was the follow up? … Right?“
Just think of the media as Democratic Party operatives with bylines, and the absence of that question makes perfect sense.
In April, the New York Times ran the headline, “Trump Insists He Has ‘Total’ Authority to Supersede Governors.” Googling a similar headline with Biden’s name this week doesn’t bring up an immediate response.
Related: “Biden has fought a pandemic before. It did not go smoothly.”
Don’t get cocky, to coin an Insta-phrase.
Oh, and speaking of Biden shutting down the United States: Biden: “We Are Going To Get Rid of Fossil Fuels.”
