The word yesterday was that Catalan President Carles Puigdemont plans to declare a “gradual” independence, which sounds a little like Brexit although perhaps with less Cabinet infighting. But if Madrid is serious about stopping Puigdemont, there can’t be anything gradual about his arrest and/or crackdown.
