THEY’RE ONLY CENSORING YOU FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. WELL, AND THEIRS. ESPECIALLY THEIRS. We need to talk about the vaccines: Public debate on side-effects is being censored. “I am an associate professor of epidemiology and biostatistics, as well as a practising physician, and I firmly believe that it would be a mistake to censor Rogan under the guise of combating ‘misinformation.'”

The notion of censoring “misinformation” is a new one, and stems from people who have been so often wrong, but so seldom in doubt, that their position seems very weak. Which is no doubt why they resort to bluster and intimidation.

STEPHANIE GRISHAM MAKES WILD CLAIMS ABOUT ‘SECRET MEETINGS’ AHEAD OF JAN. 6TH:

The infotainment industry’s sources claim that Grisham’s testimony was “more significant” than expected, but there is nothing unusual about the sitting US President having meetings in which not every single solitary person in the White House is included.

Nonetheless, Grisham’s nothing-burger continues to gain traction in the media.

They need all the distractions they can get in an election year, when even CNN is reporting that Brandon is in serious trouble.

DON’T UNDERESTIMATE JOE’S ABILITY TO F**K THINGS UP: We Will All Pay for Joe Biden’s ‘Minor Incursion’ Mistake.

The effect of Biden’s remarks was immediate. European capitals—Kyiv, in particular—erupted with indignation. “They watched those remarks, I think, with horror,” CNN’s Matthew Chance said of the Ukrainian government. One Ukrainian official said Biden had all but given Moscow a “green light” to invade. The White House immediately went to work cleaning up Biden’s comments, but it was wholly insufficient. “He was referring to the difference between military and non-military/para-military/cyber action by the Russians,” National Security Council Spokeswoman Emily Horne said. Some difference. Even if you believe Russia is parsing the fine distinctions between the president’s statements and their post-facto revisions by his more responsible staffers, “para-military” incursions are precisely what Moscow executed both in Crimea and in the Donbas region. There, Russian proxy forces have transformed the area into a warzone and carved out illegitimate “republics,” though the Russian currency and passports held by the residents of these puppet states leave no one confused as to who is in charge.

The president’s words and actions carry more weight than any half-hearted statement walking them back. Courtesy of his performance in Afghanistan, Putin has all the evidence he needs to conclude that Joe Biden will blink in defending American interests against an aggressor if he thinks the costs of such an effort are too high to bear. Biden has exposed the very real and now fully confirmed tensions within the Atlantic Alliance over how to respond to Russian aggression, if there is any response at all. All the tough talk in the world cannot undo that. Joe Biden has sown the wind. Now, we await the whirlwind.

Earlier, from Steve: Is Biden Inviting the Very War in Ukraine We Don’t Want to Fight?

THE COUNTRY IS IN THE VERY BEST OF HANDS: First Barack Obama, Now Joe Biden: Mumbling Our Way Into War. “Biden could have spent the last year reducing the risk of war by taking the diplomatic initiative with NATO and the United Nations. Instead, Biden allows Putin to make moves — to take the initiative, to test the waters — and then Biden issues weak verbal replies, hasty and unprepared.”

VDH: Is America Heading for a Systems Collapse?

In modern times, as in ancient Rome, several nations have suffered a “systems collapse.” The term describes the sudden inability of once-prosperous populations to continue with what had ensured the good life as they knew it.

Abruptly, the population cannot buy, or even find, once plentiful necessities. They feel their streets are unsafe. Laws go unenforced or are enforced inequitably. Every day things stop working. The government turns from reliable to capricious if not hostile.

Consider contemporary Venezuela. By 2010, the once well-off oil-exporting country was mired in a self-created mess. Food became scarce, crime ubiquitous.

Radical socialism, nationalization, corruption, jailing opponents, and the destruction of constitutional norms were the culprits.

Between 2009 and 2016, a once relatively stable Greece nearly became a Third World country. So did Great Britain in its socialist days of the 1970s.

Joe Biden’s young presidency may already be leading the United States into a similar meltdown.

WILLIAM ESTRADA: Parents Are Winning. That’s Why Far Left Is Turning Us Into Bogeymen.

Are “parental rights” some secret Bat Signal for right-wing evangelicals? The answer is yes, if you are writing for Salon. In a recent article, author Kathryn Joyce argued that “parental rights” is really the latest attempt of right-wing evangelicals to win elections.

Joyce has a long history of trying to pin blame on right-wing evangelicals. She has previously attacked international adoptions and large families only if they’re Christians (not any other faith, or lack thereof). So, it is not particularly surprising that now that parents from across the political spectrum are speaking up, she’s ready to blame it all on her favorite scapegoat: right-wing evangelicals.

Except it’s false: Parents from across every racial, demographic, ethnic, and political background are fighting against bureaucrats over who will decide basic questions regarding the education, upbringing, and care of their children.

It’s not just right-wing evangelicals. It’s parents from across the political, religious (and nonreligious), and demographic spectrums.

Targeting a broad spectrum of concerned parents as domestic terrorists was probably the American Left’s most damaging self-own this century.

But given that leftism has no limiting principles and the inherent illegitimacy of their power, they also had no choice but to try.

Which tells you pretty much all you need to know about leftism.
