WATCH: Behavior and body language expert breaks down Kamala Harris’s interview responses.
“She stammers as she tries to navigate what to say,” Hartley said. “When you’re feeling stressed, you lose your cadence, your normal cadence, and you lose your ability to structure language. … I think [Melvin] is under her skin here, and he knows it.”
The behavior and body language expert said it is difficult to know if Harris is lying in her comments about the 2024 presidential ticket but that she was hedging and did not have an answer.
“That would roll off my tongue if I knew I was going to be the running mate in 2024,” Hartley said. “I would say, ‘Eh, there is nothing to that. That’s just garbage’ and just push it aside. You didn’t see that. You saw stress, and you saw her blink rate go through the roof. Good indicators that something is going on inside her body.”
Hartley added that body language aside, Harris redirecting when answering questions is an indicator that she is unprepared.

As you can tell from his title, Nazir Ahmed, Baron Ahmed – born in 1957 in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan – is an aristocrat, a nob, a gent, a member of the crème-de-la-crème of the United Kingdom – a man who’s moved in the most rarefied circles and enjoyed the most extraordinary privileges. A former Labour MP, he was created a life peer in 1998 by Her Majesty the Queen on the recommendation of then-Prime Minister Tony Blair. On January 5 of this year, he was convicted by a Sheffield court of buggering a boy under age 11 and of two counts of attempted rape of a girl under age 13. At the same time and in the same courtroom, two of his brothers, Mohammed Farouq and Mohammed Tariq, were found guilty of similar crimes, the former of sexually assaulting a boy of eight (four counts) and the latter of sexually assaulting a boy under eleven (two counts). All three will be sentenced on February 4.
The convictions didn’t come fast, or easily. This was the second trial of Lord Ahmed (pictured above) and his brothers on the same charges. The first began last February. Two days after it started, a judiciary official, Judge Jeremy Richardson QC, called a halt to the proceedings, supposedly because the prosecution hadn’t shared certain items of evidence with the defense. Richardson called the prosecutors “disgraceful” and “shameful.” (I can’t find any indication that he ever described the actions by Lord Ahmed and his brothers in remotely similar terms.) Richardson even sought to prevent a re-trial, which made no sense, given his professed reason for stopping the first trial. This attempt to squelch justice wasn’t surprising: as we’ve seen over and over, there are many elements in the English judiciary – as well as in the most powerful ranks of the political class – who, in the name of multicultural harmony, will do all they can to protect Muslim felons from justice.
Fortunately, the Crown Prosecution Service appealed Richardson’s order and the Court of Appeal overturned it, making a new trial – and convictions – possible.
What, you may ask, did Lord Ahmed do to deserve a title? Not much. He was a Labor Party hack and one of several Muslim cronies to whom Blair doled out aristocratic titles. Why? A few reasons. For one thing, he wanted to suck up to Muslim voters, who form a key part of the Labour Party base. For another, he wanted to make the British nobility more diverse (a pretty funny concept, if you pause to think about it). Finally, he wanted to combat Islamic “extremism” by holding up “moderate” Muslims as role models. Of course, if Blair and his crew had been less blinkered about the horrors of Islamic ideology – and about the consequent everyday horrors of British Muslim life – they might have acted a tad more cautiously. Surely no one who’s paid attention to the grooming-gangs scandal should be surprised to see not just Lord Ahmed but also his two brothers nabbed for molesting kids. . . .
I’ve mentioned that there are many individuals in the corridors of U.K. power who, in the name of multicultural harmony, will go to great lengths to prevent Muslim felons like Lord Ahmed from paying for their crimes. Many of the same eminences, for the same noble reason, have striven to put Tommy Robinson behind bars on the slightest pretext and to keep him there for as long as possible, even at the risk of his very life. The two men form a fascinating contrast: whereas Ahmed, as a young Rotherhamite, sought out English children to exploit, harm, and destroy, Robinson, who’s spent his life in the rough-and-tumble Bedfordshire town of Luton, sought from early on sought to protect the most vulnerable members of his community.
The British nobility is not sending its best people.

If California is ever going to achieve true equity, the state must require parents to give away their children.
Today’s Californians often hold up equity — the idea of a just society completely free from bias — as our greatest value. Gov. Gavin Newsom says he makes decisions through “an equity lens.” Institutions from dance ensembles to tech companies have publicly pledged themselves to equity, along with diversity and inclusion.
But their promises of newly equitable systems are no match for the power of parents.
Fathers and mothers with greater wealth, education or other resources are more likely to transfer these advantages to their children, compounding privilege over generations. As a result, children of less advantaged parents face an uphill struggle, social mobility has stalled and democracy has been corrupted. More Californians are giving up on the dream; a recent Public Policy Institute of California poll found declining belief in the notion that you can get ahead through hard work.
My solution is simple, and while we wait for the legislation to pass, we can act now: The rich should give their children to the poor, and the poor should give their children to the rich. Homeowners might swap children with their homeless neighbors.
Now, I recognize that some naysayers, hopelessly attached to their privilege, will dismiss such a policy as ghastly, even totalitarian. But my proposal is quite modest, a fusion of traditional philosophy and today’s most common political obsessions.

Have you ever noticed how crime is only racially motivated when it’s committed by a white person? According to our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the press, anyway. They’re very devoted to Critical Race Theory and whatnot, so they just love it when white folks do bad things. “See? There’s your proof! White people really are to blame for all the world’s ills!”1
We saw this with a couple of crime stories this weekend. First, in Colleyville, Texas, a British national named Malik Faisal Akram took hostages in a synagogue and demanded the U.S. release an Islamic terrorist named Aafia Siddiqui, AKA Lady Al Qaeda. He picked that synagogue because she’s being held in federal prison 25 miles away.
Akram live-streamed the attack, as is now depressingly common, and he told the world exactly why he did it. But it doesn’t fit the Democratic Party’s narrative, so the authorities had to just outright lie about it:

Republican Governor Mike DeWine pressured schools to reopen in March 2021, but Cleveland offered only two days a week to kindergarteners. That was it for Schmitt and her husband. With two months left in the school year, they enrolled their son in a charter school that offered full-time in-person instruction.
When she questioned the party line online, she was “accused of being a Trumper who didn’t care if teachers died,” writes Schmitt.
She’s not a Republican. But Schmitt no longer trusts that the Democratic party is “motivated to act in the interests of those they claim to serve,” she writes. “How can I get excited about universal pre-K proposals, for example, when K–12 is in shambles?”
Rebecca Bodenheimer, an Oakland journalist and mother, is undergoing a political identity crisis, she writes on Politico. She went public last June with her views on reopening schools. Her progressive friends didn’t like it — or did, but were unwilling to speak up.
She now helps lead Oakland parents who are “pushing the school district to be more transparent about the process of reopening (particularly in negotiations with the teachers union).”
As Glenn mentioned earlier today, “It’s funny how the press, supposed sentinel of liberty, consistently sides with the rulers against the public, but the AJC’s portrayal of parents as crazed, knife-wielding stalkers is pretty low even for, well, the AJC.”
And yesterday, on her Substack, A.P. Dillon noted: Wake County NC Democrat tweet includes image disparaging parents:

NOT REALLY: NASA says March still on the table for SLS launch.
NASA officials are holding out hope that the first Space Launch System launch can still take place as soon as March despite a delay in the rollout of the vehicle for a key test until mid-February, SpaceNews reports. “Hopefully, we’re going to be completing all of the testing to be able to roll out for a wet dress rehearsal in February and then, hopefully, a launch in March,” NASA Associate Administrator Bob Cabana said in a talk January 11 at the SpaceCom conference in Orlando, Florida. “That might be tight.”
That might not be right … In a separate talk, Kennedy Space Center Director Janet Petro presented a chart of major NASA missions in 2022 that showed both the wet dress rehearsal and the Artemis 1 launch taking place in the first quarter of the year. Spoiler alert: the SLS rocket is not launching in March, at least not March 2022. NASA officials would do well to be as transparent and honest with the public about this as possible.
Nobody paying attention will be shocked when SLS doesn’t launch in March of 2022.
