So they both-sides’d it. We condemn anti-semitism, they said — and Islamophobia. Same with the Cuban uprising now.
Why would AOC “stand with the Cuban people,” when she spent much of 2019 promoting her ban-all-the-things Green Nude Eel by government fiat?

Jewish Voice for Peace, a small group of largely Jewishly unaffiliated, far-leftist Jews who hate Israel and get their funding primarily from non-Jewish far-left foundations, sees this as something to emulate rather than mourn. 
[Minnesota state Rep. John Thompson (D)] later asks why he was pulled over, and the officer says because of Thompson’s missing front license plate and because of the way he took off from a stoplight.
“I’m too old to run from the police man,” Thompson replies. “You profiled me because you looked me dead in the face and I got a ticket for driving while Black. You pulled me over because you saw a Black face in this car brother. There’s no way in hell I’m taking off with you behind me.”
“What you’re doing is wrong, to Black men,” Thompson continues as the officer denies that Thompson was racially profiled. “And you need to stop that. Thank you so much but this ticket means nothing to me … What I’m saying to you is stop racially profiling Black men in their cars sir. Stop doing that.”
After the incident, St. Paul Police Chief Todd Axtell released a statement calling for the release of the bodycam footage and stood behind his officer’s conduct.
“I was shocked to hear that driver accuse the sergeant of making the stop based on race,” he said.
“These aren’t accusations I take lightly, so I looked into the traffic stop, watched the body worn camera footage and spoke to the sergeant. This stop, made at about 1:20 in the morning, had absolutely nothing to do with the driver’s race,” Axtell wrote in a post on Facebook.
“The traffic stop was by the books. What happened afterwards was anything but,” Axtell continued.

See, this kind of thing is why I’ve become more radicalized this summer. I don’t believe that the leading voices of the Left have any confidence in traditional liberal principles anymore. They — or at least their organizations, like ABA — are illiberal leftists. I would like to be wrong, but this is a perfect example of what Wesley Yang says of wokeness: that it’s the “successor ideology” to liberalism. Why does the White House get to decide what you can and can’t say online? How did they become the arbiters of what is and isn’t “misinformation”? Would Democrats have been okay with the Trump administration announcing they were actively bouncing people from Facebook?
Less than 18 months ago, it was considered “misinformation” to speculate that COVID-19 is contagious. For a while, it was “misinformation” to tell people to wear masks. Then, suddenly, it was “misinformation” to tell people not to wear masks.
If the experts can’t get the information right in the first place, I don’t trust them to know what constitutes “misinformation.” They’ve been very publicly wrong about a lot of stuff ever since this pandemic started, and I don’t give them the benefit of the doubt anymore.
And now the government is publicly announcing efforts to squash any dissent. Once again, the people who can’t shut up about “fascism” are the ones using fascist tactics.
I’m not an anti-vaxxer. I’m vaccinated, and in the unlikely event that you want my advice, you should get vaccinated too.
And, also, in addition to that, I believe in free speech. If you don’t want to get vaccinated, you should be able to say so. I’ll tell you that you’re making a mistake, or more likely I’ll just ignore you, but I won’t stand with anybody who tries to silence you. That’s un-American.
In this country, you have the right to be wrong.
