AND THE HITS JUST KEEP ON COMING FOR JEEP’S SUPER BOWL SPOKESMAN: Bruce Springsteen Busted for DWI.

Bruce Springsteen is in the middle of a DWI case after he was busted in his home state … TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the Boss was arrested on November 14 at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ. Springsteen was cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area. He’ll have a court appearance coming in the next few weeks.

We’re told the rock icon was cooperative throughout the arrest. As far as we can tell, this is his first arrest for DWI.

How could Bruce have done this to us?

Heavy criticism flew from the right, but also from the betrayed left.

“Convincing someone that Springsteen is fraudulent … now requires much less work from both him and you,’’ Washington Post pop music critic Chris Richards wrote ahead of Super Sunday.

“Springsteen’s songbook has long stood up for the marginalized and the disenfranchised,’’ Richards continued, “but here, in lieu of writing a new song, he’s sticking up for a car company whose products are hastening the death of our planet — a death that the boomer demo being courted with this two-minute clip won’t have to witness.’’

He didn’t just sell out, he’s a planet killer!

Does the WaPo not know that Springsteen spent the 1970s and ‘80s singing about the glories of American muscle cars, and has a good-sized “planet killing” car collection of his own? As Ann Coulter said of Al Gore after learning about the size of his mansion, “I kind of respect him more, it shows he is not stupid enough to believe all this global warming nonsense. He’s trying to get us to believe. Okay, fine, he may be a hypocrite but at least he’s not a moron.”

WELL, YES: ‘Transition’ Treatment Harms Kids, Veteran Psychiatrist at UK Gender Identity Clinic Says.

Children “have been very seriously damaged” in receiving treatment at the United Kingdom’s premier gender identity facility, a former psychiatrist there says in a bombshell interview.

Dr. David Bell faced disciplinary action after writing an internal report in 2018 raising concerns about procedures at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which operates the U.K.’s sole “Gender Identity Development Service.”

After working with Tavistock and Portman for 24 years as a consultant psychiatrist, Bell recently retired. In the interview with London-based Channel 4 News, he speaks openly about his observations about giving children puberty blockers, treating every girl with a gender or sexual issue as “conversion therapy,” and politicizing support for transgender children.

Right away, Bell isn’t shy about relating the concerns of parents and others about Tavistock’s treatment plans.

It’s politically-motivated, high-tech barbarism to do this to children — a clinical version of female genital mutilation.

PRIVACY: I’ve used DuckDuckGo as my search engine for a year, and here’s what I learned. “If you want the best search results, then use Google. If you want excellent search results that aren’t used to target you with better ads, use DuckDuckGo. For me, I’ve decided that protecting my privacy is a worthy trade-off for slightly worse search results. I still generally find what I am looking for when searching.”

When I first switched to DuckDuckGo — and it’s been years — I would use Bing as a fallback when DDG couldn’t find what I needed, and Google as a tertiary search engine when even Bing failed.

But I couldn’t honestly tell you the last time I needed to resort even to Bing.

WILL THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION UNDERMINE THE ABRAHAM ACCORDS?:

Based on words and deeds, the emergent Iran policy of President Joe Biden’s administration is either structurally incoherent, another blatant example of mixed messaging by intellectual mediocrities or, worse yet, both.

Whether alone or both, the structurally incoherent condition is dangerous. Whatever the case, the administration must quickly decide if it wants to advance sensible policies that will secure Middle East peace or, in lieu of that obvious wisdom, choose to promote murderous geopolitical fantasy theories hawked by left-wing academia and authoritarian leftist media.

IT SURE FEELS LIKE ONE: Is This The Biggest Financial Bubble Ever? Hell Yes It Is. “If you’re over 40, you’ve lived through at least three epic financial bubbles: junk bonds in the 1980s, tech stocks in the 1990s, and housing in the 2000s.”

Don’t you worry, the experts have it under control this time for sure.

JOHN STOSSEL: Socialism Never Works.

Evergreen headline, but the left always has to learn that the hard way.

RULES ARE FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE: House Sergeant at Arms says Pelosi will not be fined for violating her own security rules.

After House Speaker Nancy Pelosi fined two Republican lawmakers, Reps. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and Andrew Clyde (R-GA), $5,000 each for violating the House metal detector rule, Republicans from the Committee on House Administration demanded that Pelosi be held accountable herself for the same offense. According to a letter the officials sent to the House Acting Sergeant at Arms Timothy Blodgett, Pelosi was seen ignoring the metal detectors as she entered the House Chamber Thursday morning.

And they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore.

PEOPLE ENJOY UNACCOUNTABLE POWER OVER OTHERS:

The enjoyment of this power is one of the main attractions of forming a mob, and is why civilized societies tend to put barriers in the path of mob power.

THIS IS CNN: CNN’s promotion of idiot ‘Grim Reaper’ attorney ends in embarrassment.

“To the extent determined necessary, we also encourage The Florida Bar to require Appellant and his counsel to undertake additional educational training the Bar may deem appropriate to ensure that Appellant and counsel comply with their ethical and professionalism obligations,” the order added.

For the record, this is all slightly unusual, particularly the appeals court panel’s angry tone and its recommendation that disciplinary action be taken against the idiot Grim Reaper lawyer. But it just goes to show how annoyed the judges are with Uhlfelder’s shenanigans. And the panel is right. Uhlfelder is an embarrassment. He clearly abused his position as an attorney for political purposes, cheered on all the while by a news media that are too stupid and too ratings-obsessed to learn from their past missteps.

Sure, the press’s embrace of Uhlfelder isn’t quite as embarrassing as their embrace of convicted felon Michael Avenatti. But it’s close. Elevating an obvious clown because he has the “right” politics and he attacks the “right” targets is embarrassing, and unethical, regardless of whether a felony conviction is involved somewhere along the way. The difference is just a matter of degrees.

Flashback to the “Grim Reaper Attorney” in action last year, where past performance is, well, you know:

And from Jim Treacher last April: Florida Man Will Wear Grim Reaper Outfit to Scare People Away from Beaches (and Raise Money for Dems).

FEAR OF BACKLASH: Reopening politics are shifting. “Reopening schools is the top priority for Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, writes Dana Goldstein in the New York Times. She pleads for more time to persuade teachers that going back to classrooms will be safe.”

NO, THE 2020 ELECTION WASN’T STOLEN — BUT YES, IT WAS UNDERHANDEDLY TILTED. Jonathan Tobin on that Time magazine article:

Though Time claims the censorship was “defending democracy,” it was actually just the opposite. In a campaign that was represented as a counterattack against Trumpian lies, what the anti-Trump group pulled off was perhaps the biggest lie in modern American political history.

The collusion between Big Tech and biased legacy media prevented the public from learning more about a candidate that largely spent 2020 in hiding. In this way, the anti-Trump forces did help stage an election that was, in a sense, rigged against the incumbent.

There’s nothing wrong with getting more people to vote, as long as the votes are legal. But there is something profoundly wrong with a system in which Silicon Valley oligarchs, big business, union bosses and lefty agitators can effectively shut down free discourse and freedom of the press during a presidential election in order to ensure their candidate wins.

That means the challenge facing the country is not what to do about Trump’s sore-loser tantrum, which resulted in a disgraceful riot (swollen into an “insurrection” by Democrats and media keen to discredit all Republicans). The real problem is whether Americans are prepared to let the same forces that tilted the 2020 election in Biden’s favor get away with it again.
