DOXXED: Major leak ‘exposes’ members and ‘lifts the lid’ on the Chinese Communist Party. “What’s amazing about this database is not just that it exposes people who are members of the communist party, and who are now living and working all over the world, from Australia to the US to the UK.”

Plus: “Ms Markson said the leak demonstrates party branches are embedded in some of the world’s biggest companies and even inside government agencies.”

COVERING WHAT APRIL RYAN WON’T COVER:

Story here.

BADLY. Michael Barone: How the Cultural Elite Came to Rule the Democratic Party. “White Democratic college graduates’ central faith is that they oppose other Americans’ systemic racism. Nearly a majority of them told pollsters they were bothered that Joe Biden is a white male in his 70s. Only about 30 percent of black and Hispanic Democrats feel the same, according to Pew.”

HOW NBC NEWS HELPED THE BIDEN CAMPAIGN RUIN AN INNOCENT MAN AND BURY THE HUNTER LAPTOP STORY:

Instead of investigating the claims about Hunter Biden’s Chinese connections, NBC News suppressed the report and attacked the messenger. They carried water for the Biden campaign, and other media outlets followed suit. The American public was largely unaware of this information as Election Day approached, which had an obvious effect on the outcome. Any credible news outlet would at least ask the question: Is anything in this report true? If so, how dangerous is that for America? Instead, a major media company, with an agenda to advance, set out to destroy a researcher and discredit an explosive report that questioned the shady dealings of a major party’s presidential candidate and his family.

Who benefits from that hit piece from NBC News? The Biden-Harris ticket, and the Chinese Communist Party.

Xi’s gotta have it. Earlier: Did Hunter Biden Help Facilitate NBCUniversal’s Beijing Theme Park?

Portions of Hunter Biden’s hard drive have now been shared with TAC. On the drive is an email from president of Rosemont Seneca Eric Schwerin, a company co-founded by Hunter and John Kerry’s stepson, saying that Chinese state-owned enterprise CITIC was hoping they would make introductions with Universal employees and propose the Beijing theme park.

“They’d like an introduction to Universal (Comcast) as they’d like to open a Universal Studios China theme park outside of Beijing,” Schwerin writes. “As I said, that one should be easy via Melissa Mayfield/David Cohen [two Comcast executives].”

APRIL RYAN OUTS HERSELF* AS A DEMOCRATIC OPERATIVE WITH A BYLINE: CNN’s April Ryan suggests journalists shouldn’t expose Biden’s contradictions, use leaked recordings.

Vice journalist Edward Ongweso Jr. responded with a tongue-in-cheek scolding of such journalistic practices.

“It is irresponsible and sets a dangerous precedent for journalists covering the incoming administration to be able to use secretly recorded conversations in their stories,” Ongweso Jr. tweeted. “To parse out Biden’s thoughts and anticipate his policy commitments, you must go through proper channels.”

Ongweso Jr. continued sarcastically, “The White House Press Secretary, the spokespeople for the President and Vice President, senior officials (without attribution), and the President’s public statements are all designated and responsible sources for information about the President’s thoughts and intentions.”

“Revealing a contradiction between Biden’s private thoughts and public statements is dangerous because it erodes public trust in the President, the Office, and the media itself,” the Vice reporter concluded.

Stunningly, the outspoken anti-Trump American Urban Radio Networks reporter and CNN analyst offered her endorsement of abandoning basic journalistic practices.

“You hit the nail in the head! This is not good at all,” Ryan said in response to the first tweet. She then “liked” the other two tweets in the thread.

Ongweso Jr. shared screenshots of Ryan’s response to his tweets, reacting “Folks… I can’t.”

Ryan’s tweets caused a frenzy among critics on social media.

“This is one of the most shocking things I’ve seen on this website,” former Intercept editor Glenn Greenwald reacted.

“Would you consider yourself a reporter at this point or is that more of a former job description,” progressive journalist Eoin Wiggins asked Ryan.

HE RAN A WEBSITE THE IRANIAN REGIME DIDN’T LIKE. HE WAS EXECUTED FOR IT:

For years, Ruhollah Zam ran one of Iran’s most popular online news outlets, AmadNews, a website and channel on the messaging app Telegram that amassed millions of followers inside the Islamic Republic and in the Diaspora.

Its content was an amalgam of wildly hyperbolic claims, genuine news and leaks of information, as well as video footage showing anti-government protests, including those that erupted in the final days of 2017, drawing the attention of regime officials.

On Saturday morning, after he was lured from France, brought before a secretive security court in Iran and sentenced to die, Zam was abruptly executed after being convicted of the Islamic crime of “spreading corruption earth.”

He was 42.

The incoming Biden administration, eager to get back in bed with Iran, nods with pride.

OPEN THREAD: Is there anything to talk about?

DO TELL: California’s Health Secretary Concedes There Is No Empirical Basis for the State’s Ban on Outdoor Dining. “Ghaly was responding to a reporter who asked whether there are ‘any data’ to support a ban on outdoor dining, such as evidence of outbreaks linked to that specific setting. His answer implicitly conceded that there are no such data. The ban, he said, is based not on a determination that outdoor dining is especially dangerous but on a desire to keep people from leaving their homes.”

Plus: “Ghaly’s premise that prohibiting outdoor dining will encourage Californians to eat ‘in a lower-risk way’ seems pretty dubious. While that policy may cause some people to have food delivered and consume it at home with no one outside their households, others, deprived of a relatively safe dining option, may instead privately get together with friends and relatives indoors, a much higher-risk setting.”
