OPEN THREAD: I’ve lost my harmonica, Albert.

MEDIA FAIL: Trump says the most violent cities are all run by Democrats; Washington Post retorts, “Only 19 of 20, and the 20th is run by an independent, so there.”

WEIRDLY, NOBODY WANTS TO BLAME ALL THOSE MASS PROTESTS FOR THE INCREASE IN WUHAN CORONAVIRUS CASES AMONG YOUNGER PEOPLE. So they’re blaming bars, but there’s a problem:

Colorado, where bars serving primarily drinks were allowed to open at reduced capacity last week, is seeing a minor uptick in new cases. South Dakota, which never implemented a lockdown order, is seeing its number of new cases go down. Meanwhile, states like Washington are seeing a big spike in new cases despite bars remaining closed in most of the state, and indoor dining being allowed only at reduced capacity. Parts of Pennsylvania, which has also been slow to reopen, are seeing spikes in new cases as well.

THERE IS HOPE FOR REASON AND HUMANITY: Extinction Rebellion spokeswoman Zion Lights quits green movement to become lobbyist for nuclear power saying: ‘I changed my mind.’

The former XR communications head said she had felt ‘duped’ after being surrounded by anti-nuclear campaigners until she read more into the radioactive fuel. . . .

Zion, who was grilled on the Andrew Neil Show last year, added to City Am: ‘Surrounded by anti-nuclear activists, I had allowed fear of radiation, nuclear waste and weapons of mass destruction to creep into my subconscious. I realised I had been duped into anti-science sentiment all this time.’

Good for her.

BRYAN PRESTON: The Week They Drove Old Dixie Down.  “The band formerly known as the Dixie Chicks has predictably started a virtue-signal cascade event when they dropped the Dixie, coincidental I’m sure, with dropping a new album. In fact, I did predict it when I put Winn-Dixie and Dixie Cups on the clock to change their names.”

HMM: Starting in 2024, Full Mercedes-Benz Lineup Will Have Autonomous Capability. “The features include what Mercedes calls ‘state-of-the-art automated driving functionalities’ that will be able to “automate driving of regular routes from address to address,” but since Mercedes is only promising Level 2 and 3 autonomous driving, the driver may need to take over in some situations during the drive. Mercedes says future automated parking functions that use this system could offer up to Level 4 capabilities, which means the car could go park on its own.”
