Colorado State Patrol, along with the Denver Police Homeless Unit, are working to clean up the homeless encampments at Lincoln Park, which is located next to the Colorado State Capitol.
CSP said it is working with the Denver homeless outreach team to clear out people who are experiencing homelessness in the park.
People who had been staying in the park can voluntarily move out of the park. Some people will be bused out and given options.

ROGER KIMBALL: The bewildering bombardment of Bill Barr.
As AG Barr noted in his opening statement, the most basic job of government is to preserve the rule of law. The rule of law holds sway only when it is impartially applied. Mob violence has no place in a country governed by the rule of law, but mob violence is now sweeping the country. The Democrats refuse to acknowledge this, describing the mayhem and looting as ‘peaceful protests’, lawful exercises of the public’s First Amendment rights.
Jim Jordan, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, put paid to that canard with a video juxtaposing the media’s mindless repetition of the mantra ‘peaceful protest’ with shocking scenes from the burning streets of Portland and other sites of insurrection. As Groucho Marx put it, who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?
I assume that Barr’s Democratic questioners huddled beforehand to work out an obfuscating strategy, because nearly all of them bombarded him accusations masquerading as questions and then, when he attempted to answer, rudely interrupted him and informed him that they were ‘reclaiming’ their time. It all seemed like a comic skit until you realized that these malevolent clowns are the people we have elected to govern us. Hank ‘Guam’ Johnson, Eric Swalwell, Pramila Jayapal, David Cicilline, Zoe Lofgren, Steve Cohen: I am not sure who gave the most despicable performance on Tuesday. They are all horrible people.
Earlier: Dems starting to panic that voters will blame them for riots.
Related: “Nearly every time I watch Barr in extended interviews or read one of his substantive speeches, I find myself saying, ‘If only.’ If only Barr had been Trump’s first attorney general, the last four years would have been dramatically different.”

UMBRELLA MAN IS THE LEE HARVEY OSWALD OF RACISM:
But what makes Umbrella Man special?
For nearly a decade, we’ve been watching the media stir racial tension on a daily basis with a fact-less, bogus narrative that police are executing a murderous, genocidal plot against unarmed black people. This false narrative has led to numerous violent riots across America.
Is this all the work of Umbrella Man? Was he in Ferguson and Baltimore, too? Is Umbrella Man in Portland and Seattle right now? Are the white kids rioting nightly in the Greater Northwest secret members of the Hell’s Angels?
Or is Umbrella Man just another patsy Twitter and the mainstream media are selling an easily bamboozled American public?

Even though Gallup has quit election polling, a reservoir of its reporting remains available online; it’s a useful, even revealing resource about campaigns past. For example, in 2008, Gallup posted an article online that noted polls of July are not always reliable indicators of outcomes in November.
Miscalling the 2012 election
It is a useful reminder, relevant even now as polls signal President Donald Trump’s reelection seems a long shot in his unfolding race against gaffe-prone Joe Biden.
The winners of July who lost in November have been several over the years, and go beyond the cases of Thomas E. Dewey in 1948 and Hillary Clinton in 2016. Among the others in Gallup’s polling were:

TURKEY’S SULTAN IS AT IT AGAIN: Erdogan’s Hagia Sophia Distraction Masks His Mounting Problems.
In a desperate attempt to remain in power, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has dealt the Turkish republic’s democratic structure a symbolic, historical insult so divisive it has the potential for serious, systemic political damage.
In so doing, the man derisively nicknamed Sultan Recep once again exposed his intense jealousy for Kemal Ataturk, the soldier-statesman and political genius who founded the modern Turkish state.

COLD WAR II: Japan’s air force faces a ‘relentless’ burden, imposed by China.
Japan never went as pacifist as Germany did in postwar period, but they still have much-unrealized combat potential.

CULTURE OF CORRUPTION: St. Louis Circuit Attorney hasn’t disclosed trips as required by law, documents show.
A News 4 investigation has found that St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner has been flying all around the country and the globe with organizations who want to reform the criminal justice system.
However, it appears she has violated the law, by not reporting the trips.
Sources tell News 4 Gardner is a frequent flyer. At times during her tenure as prosecutor, sources say, she has often been gone from her office a couple of times every month, jetting around on someone else’s dime.
Social media snaps show Gardner posing for pictures in Portugal, listening to conversations in New Haven, Connecticut, smiling with other prosecutors in Houston and linking arms in Selma, Alabama.
They are trips she apparently took in 2018 and 2019, but did not disclose on travel reports, as required by law.
Sources tell News 4 that some of the trips were paid for in full, or in part, by an organization called Fair and Just Prosecution, a group that professes to support progressive prosecutors. The organization has repeatedly applauded many of Gardner’s actions, including the charges against Mark and Patricia McCloskey for brandishing guns in the Central West End last month.
I hope the feds, or the State of Missouri, will investigate this thoroughly. The notion that she might be prosecuting people at the behest of an organization that has given her free travel is disturbing, and undermines the public trust that an effective prosecutor must have.
