These are the names of the two Black teenagers who were killed in separate shootings in Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan’s CHOP zone. Their lives mattered. #BlackLivesMatter

Even worse, they were killed by the “police force” of a protest encampment set up to protest . . . the killing of unarmed black men by police.

BOTCHED JOKE DEFENSE ISSUED: Woke Harvard Senior Claims TikTok Video of Her Saying She’ll Stab and Watch Bleed Out the Next Person with ‘Caucasity’ to Say All Lives Matter is a Joke.

It’s the left favorite get out of jail free card.

UPDATE: BLM Supporter Threatens Stabbing Spree To Prove TikTok Wokeness – Gets Fired, Blames World. “There’s a generation of people who are growing up on social media, and have absolutely no sense of self-awareness.   Their unquenchable thirst for tribal acceptance is the dominant goal in their life.”

WHAT PRIVILEGE LOOKS LIKE:

Coupled with ignorance of horses.

I CAN’T IMAGINE WHY YOU WOULDN’T WANT TO HIRE SOMEONE WHO THREATENS TO STAB STRANGERS WITH DIFFERENT BELIEFS: Harvard grad Claira Janover says she’s lost Deloitte job over TikTok ‘stab threat.’

Leftists are used to a culture of impunity, in which they can perform for an audience of their peers without consequences. It’s nice to see that starting to change — and it is very much starting to change.

NEO: The Democrats believe they have checkmated Trump.

The outcome depends in part on the players, but it also depends (unlike in chess) on the observers, the American voting public. Will they be fooled by all of this? Will they actually believe that it’s all Trump’s fault, and that Biden (or his carefully-selected approved-identity-group Veep) and the Democrats are the answer? Or will they see through it? Will they notice that it’s in red states and red cities that there’s no turmoil and no upheaval?

I recently spoke with a friend who lives in New York City, who said that people are starting to leave – to sell their homes and buy elsewhere. So some are voting with their feet, as we used to say in the bad old days of the Sixties. Will they carry their Democrat voting habits with them? Or have they been mugged by reality?

It depends, in the end, on the American people. Doesn’t it always?

GOP governors better get cracking on those Welcome Wagon kits ASAP, if they want to keep their states in the red column.

WHITE PRIVILEGE IN ACTION:

White privilege exists. It can be seen in this video captured at an anti-police protest in New York, in which white protesters taunt NYPD officers as uneducated and illiterate.

“You guys go to clown college for like 26 weeks,” one woman tells the officers.

“You know a hairdresser has to go to school for longer than you do,” another white protester interjects. “Half of you don’t even have a college education . . . but you want to sit here and tell me that you’re educated enough to make demands about s*** you know nothing about!”

The white protester then points at a black officer and says, “You should know better,” and proceeds to call the officer a “f***ing Black Judas.” The protester says this without any hint of irony.

A majority of George Floyd protesters in New York City — about 60 percent — are white, the New York Times reported earlier this month.

White, and predominantly educated upper-class. Front Row Kids, feeling privileged to act in a beastly fashion toward those they regard as their inferiors.

By contrast, the officers in the lower ranks of the NYPD, who are bearing the brunt of the protests, are majority non-white: 55 percent of lower-ranking officers are Latino, African American, or Asian, according to The City.

The footage above shows what happens when “highly educated people,” no doubt the beneficiaries of white privilege, protest in the name of “anti-racism.” The result is class warfare, waged downward against allegedly “uneducated” working people who happen to be part of a more diverse cohort than the protesters themselves.

In America, class war is disguised as cultural war, and cultural war is often cloaked in the language of race and civil rights.

STATUE-TOPPLING: “The iconoclasm is good for us. It’s a great political issue for the president.”

Said an anonymous “senior [Trump] campaign official,” quoted in “Trump’s Twitter feed reads like a local crime blotter as he stokes a culture war” by Josh Dawsey (WaPo). The “crime blotter” material in question is the vandalism aimed at public statues and monuments. And, yes, it makes sense for the Trump campaign to see this as a good issue for them, but they didn’t start the unrest and destruction. It strikes me as unfair to say that he’s “stoking” any kind of “war,” when the protests and attendant violence arose out of police actions in particular cities (cities run by Democrats).

What did Trump have to do with that? Is he supposed to stand back and say nothing? His antagonists take whatever they can get, every single day, and spin it against him. Are they “stoking” a “war”? No, they’re just doing their normal thing, plying their trade, writing columns like “Trump’s Twitter feed reads like a local crime blotter as he stokes a culture war” by Josh Dawsey in The Washington Post. Josh Dawsey is writing that and Trump is doing his tweets, taking the material of the day, and spinning it into an argument for his side.

Of course, he’s going to improve his political standing by crying out against “the two Anarchists who threw paint on the magnificent George Washington Statue in Manhattan” and the rest of the violence toward inanimate objects. He sees and takes the advantage of embracing and extolling the icons in this time of iconoclasm.

Trump “stokes” a “war” simply by existing in the face of crazy people who hate him. His mere existence is, to them, an intolerable provocation.

UTAH SHOOTING UPDATE: The DNC-MSM worked very hard to bury that the blocking of a motorist who was then shot occurred at a BLM protest of a “Back the Blue Rally:” Shots fired as Black Lives Matter and Back the Blue collide in Provo.

Provo Police arrested two people after Monday’s shooting at protest:

According to the department’s social media posts, Jesse Taggart, a 33-year-old Salt Lake City resident, was booked at the Utah County Jail on charges of attempted aggravated murder, aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, rioting, threatening use of a weapon in a fight or quarrel, criminal mischief, and firing a weapon near a highway.

Police also booked 27-year-old Ogden resident Samantha Darling on charges of obstruction of justice and rioting.

According to Andy Ngo, the suspects’ social media are “filled w/ BLM content:”

An Insta-reader who submitted the above links to the Brigham Young University Daily Universe asks, “So who are the fascists–the woman handing out popsicles and friendly notes thanking the Provo Police, or the rioters who blocked the intersection and then shot an old man who happened to be innocently driving through at the time?”, adding, “Provo citizens will support protests of pretty much anything–however, we get really unhappy with rioting, looting, violence, and general mayhem.  Because this is Provo, I don’t expect either one of them will see daylight for many, many, many years.”

Developing, as they say.
