WOEING: Boeing hid design flaws in 737 Max jets from pilots and regulators.

The 238-page report details how Boeing attempted to minimize both the regulatory testing and pilot training required to fly the new Max, which was being rushed out in an attempt to compete with the Airbus A320neo.

It found the company successfully persuaded the FAA not to classify the anti-stall system as “safety critical,” meaning that many pilots did not even know of its existence before flying the Max.

In doing so, Boeing concealed from regulators internal test data showing that if a pilot took longer than 10 seconds to recognize that the system had kicked in erroneously, the consequences would be “catastrophic.”

K12 IMPLOSION UPDATE: Homeschooling Hits a Tipping Point. “With the public school year underway nationwide—or else delayed beyond its normal start by labor actions and fearful policymakers—families getting an eyeful of what classes mean this year aren’t impressed by what they see. Even as school resumes, localities across the country report that parents are pulling their kids out to take a crack at one or another approach to home-based education. Nationally, the percentage of children being homeschooled may double, to 10 percent, from the figure reported in 2019.”

All is proceeding as I have foreseen — only faster, thanks to the pandemic.

HIDING BIDEN FROM TOUGH QUESTIONS HURTS HIM MORE THAN IT HELPS HIM:

So why the tepid treatment of Biden by the media? It must go beyond simple bias or personal animosity for the current President. For three-and-a-half years now journalists have shamed their colleagues and themselves over what I will call the ‘but her emails’ dilemma. Those who reported dutifully on the ill-timed federal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private server and spillage of classified information have been cast out and shunted away from the journalist cool kids’ table. Focusing so much on what was, at the time, a considerable scandal, has been written off by many in the media as a blunder. They believe their friends and colleagues helped put Trump in the White House by focusing on a nothing-burger of a Clinton scandal when they should have been highlighting Trump’s foibles. It’s an error no journalist wants to repeat. Simply put: no journalist wants to be the one to quiz Biden on his record on criminal justice, his campaign staff bailing out rioters in Minneapolis, the handsiness allegations, his cozy family relationships with China, his involvement in the Flynn unmasking, or anything else that might trip up the one man standing between them and Trump’s second term.

The journalist who asks the question that makes Uncle Joe stroke out at the podium would be treated as a professional leper. No book deals. No CNN or MSNBC contributor contracts. No cocktail parties.

But here’s the deal, folks: none of this actually helps Joe Biden. It hurts him and his campaign. When the debates kick off at the end of the month, Biden will not have a teleprompter, or aides he can defer to or friendly journalists from the Atlantic or CNN he can point to for a fact check. The second he calls upon the moderator to become a referee in his favor, his campaign slips.

You don’t have to “think” of the media as Democratic Party operatives with bylines, when they’re acting explicitly like that every day.

SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY? Left’s Point Person for Post-Election Violence Prep Linked to Arabella Advisors.

The point person for the Fight Back Table, a coalition of liberal organizations planning for a “post-Election Day political apocalypse scenario,” leads a progressive coalition that is part of a massive liberal dark money network.

Deirdre Schifeling, who leads the Fight Back Table’s efforts to prepare for “mass public unrest” following the Nov. 3 election, founded and is campaign director for Democracy for All 2021 Action, a project of Arabella Advisors’ Sixteen Thirty Fund. The Sixteen Thirty Fund is a dark money network that provides wealthy donors anonymity as they push large sums into the left’s organizational efforts. Schifeling’s group is one of dozens that use Arabella Advisors to add an extra layer of secrecy to their funding.

The connections suggest that post-election mobilization isn’t just the project of a liberal fringe, but that powerful Democratic Party interest groups are also involved.

This is unAmerican, and these people should pay a stiff price. The left has operated outside law and custom with impunity for too long.

THAT’S SAD. I DATED ONE OF THEIR WATER-SKIERS BACK IN COLLEGE: ‘There was zero probability going forward’: Tommy Bartlett Show to permanently close after 69 years. She was nice, and very fit.

UPDATE: From the comments:

That’s the thing about the pandemic and shutting down businesses. The government thinks that they can shut them down, and months later they can open back up. Most politicians have no idea what it takes to run a business. Many businesses work on a shoestring, paying employees as revenue comes in. And when that stops they can’t pay people, and those people have to go somewhere else, and the business is ruined.

But don’t worry, the politicians are still getting paid. Jackass Gavin Newsom is still getting paid. The useless health director of Los Angeles, Barbara Ferrer, is still getting over $600,000 per year. So our ruling class is fine.

Well, that’s a relief.

ANSWERING THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS: How David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” Changed Music (Video).

SO BASICALLY IT’S LIKE A GUY WHO CONSTANTLY BRAGS ABOUT HIS ALLEGEDLY HUGE SCHLONG: Cardi B Files for Divorce from Offset After 3 Years of Marriage Following Rumors of His Infidelity. A friend on Facebook comments: “First she makes that extraordinarily gross video about the power of her pussy. Then she files for divorce because her husband keeps cheating on her. So it wasn’t even true?”

But it’s still sad. I mean, look at the photo. Can you imagine this couple breaking up over infidelity?
