SHE LIES A LOT: Elizabeth Warren’s Ferguson Lie. “Michael Brown was not murdered. Michael Brown was shot by officer Darren Wilson in an act of self-defense. This is why the grand jury declined to indict Wilson for murder or manslaughter, and it was also the conclusion of the Obama administration’s Department of Justice.”

SALENA ZITO: Civility is dead — except in real life.

Nowadays, being civil to the other side is possibly unsafe. It’s a sure way to get attacked by your own side. Consider the meltdown by the Left when the New York Times ran a banner headline titled, “Trump Urges Unity vs. Racism”, the day after President Donald Trump spoke to the nation after the weekend massacres, urging unity against racism.

“Lives literally depend on you doing better,” tweeted 2020 Democrat Cory Booker of New Jersey, upset that the headline didn’t make Trump look bad. But New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was far more aggressive: “Let this front page serve as a reminder of how supremacy is aided by and often relies upon the cowardice of mainstream institutions.”

Twitter vitriol then increased over the week. One congressman’s campaign tweeted out names and occupations of his own constituents to shame them for donating to Trump.

It’s all a striking contrast to the normal interaction between Gardner and two of his potential opponents. Seeing these real human interactions should be a reminder that when you turn on cable news and watch the panels of pundits, candidates and experts explaining how their side is better and the other side is the devil, you are watching “experts” who rarely ever observe people outside of social media.

There is a simple reason why the interaction between these candidates in Yuma didn’t make the news or trend on Twitter: It was normal and civil, which reflects the character of this country more accurately than what you see on cable or social media.

Yep.

JOAQUIN CASTRO, VICIOUS, BUT ALSO DUMB: Man wrongly outed as Trump donor by Castro, forced to go over ‘situational awareness’ with wife, kids.

A San Antonio man was wrongly outed on Twitter as a donor to President Trump by Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro and said Friday the incident forced him to review emergency plans with his wife and three children.

Harper Huddleston said on “Fox & Friends” that his name appeared on Castro’s list instead of the name of his retired father, who contributed to the Trump campaign. He said the mix-up was because they share the same first name, but have different middle names, though his father does not go by the name Harper.

Huddleston said he supports Trump and has contributed in the past to the mayoral campaign of Castro’s brother, Julian, who is now running for president. He said he was glad to have received the negative attention instead of his father, but explained that he was forced to go over emergency plans with his wife and three children.

Why are Democratic presidential candidates so stupid and vicious?

OPEN THREAD: Just do it.

INDEED THEY DO: Jeffrey Epstein Camera Malfunction: No Proof for Rumor, But Other Questions Remain. “Rumors have been circulating ever since Jeffrey Epstein was found dead that cameras at the prison malfunctioned the night of his death. However, at this point it’s not known if there were any cameras recording Epstein and, if there were, whether they were working or recorded footage. The person who started the camera malfunction rumor didn’t provide sources at the time to verify his tweet. However, there are plenty of other questions surrounding Epstein’s death that have led some officials to call for a deeper investigation.”
