WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? 100 MILLION PLUS DEAD, LET’S GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY?   GO HOME LIZZY. YOU’VE HAD TOO MUCH FIRE WATER: Elizabeth Warren Shows Her Socialist Stripes.

IN TENNESSEE, 15 GUNS IS WHAT WE CALL A NICE START:

UPDATE: From the comments: “Did you guys look at other posts by that moron? I only scrolled 3 posts down before I saw him asking to identify a gun in a picture that ‘looks like Sig’ to him… and the grip has ‘BERSA’ stamped on it. I understand being not versed in guns, but can you not read? Are you a journalist or something?”

There’s no IQ test to be a “journalist,” much less a subject-matter certification.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Seen on Facebook:

I backed off on buying more when the Fire Marshal started to complain.

NORMALLY I DON’T CELEBRATE “DEATH DAYS,” BUT …: Frederick Douglass, the great abolitionist, orator and advisor to Presidents, was born a slave and never knew his exact birthday, so his death day is the only thing we have.  It was on this day in 1895.

Among his many insightful statements:

“No man can put a chain about the ankle of his fellow man without at last finding the other end fastened about his own neck.”

“Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground.”

“Everybody has asked the question, and they learned to ask it early of the abolitionists, ‘What shall we do with the Negro?’ I have had but one answer from the beginning. Do nothing with us! Your doing with us has already played the mischief with us.”

He was probably 77 when he died.

THE HILL: The family secret Bruce Ohr told Rod Rosenstein about Russia case.

Who would have thought that, this deep into the Russia collusion probe, we’d be learning about yet another dossier connected to Hillary Clinton? And, as it turns out, it was sort of a family secret.

By his own account, senior Department of Justice (DOJ) official Bruce Ohr played an essential — and unorthodox — role, carrying politically tainted allegations of Donald Trump-Russia collusion to the FBI during the 2016 election.

First, it was unverified intelligence starting in July 2016 from Trump-hating former British spy Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous Russia dossier.

Next, it was sketchy intelligence starting in August 2016 from Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson, an opposition-research contractor who hired Steele and was paid to help Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign develop political dirt on Trump.

And now we learn, from testimony that is still being kept secret from the public, that Ohr admitted to Congress last year that he also took Russia information that his wife, Nellie, assembled against Trump on a computer drive and delivered that to the FBI in 2016 — a revelation that has raised fresh concerns in Congress about a possible conflict of interest.

Nellie Ohr worked for Fusion GPS and, for a time, worked on the same Clinton-financed Russian research project as Steele, according to the testimony.

DOJ ethics rules forbid department officials from working in cases where a spouse has a financial interest, a prohibition that Bruce Ohr said he knew about when he forwarded his wife’s evidence to the FBI.

I wonder why he isn’t being prosecuted?

Related: The demented FBI bid to oust Trump. “Consider the lunacy of this: By providing Trump with a memo justifying Comey’s firing, Rosenstein participated in the scheme that the FBI considered a possible crime or the culmination of a Russian plot. Then, Rosenstein turned around and appointed a special counsel, whom he oversaw, to investigate the possible crime to which he was a party.”

OPEN THREAD: Hump day.

VENEZUELA DEADLINE: Guaido gives military three days to switch sides and feed starving people.

Venezuelan National Assembly leader Juan Guaido on Wednesday gave the country’s armed forces a three-day ultimatum to stop supporting President Nicolas Maduro before humanitarian aid arrives.

Large amounts of aid — including medicine, food and hygiene products — are being accumulated on the Colombian and Brazilian sides of the border with Venezuela. Guaido has said it will enter Venezuela Saturday, despite Maduro’s efforts to block it with military force.

Guaido issued the warning as the country’s interim president.

“You have three days to obey the order of the president and place yourselves on the side of the constitution,” Guaido wrote in a tweet directed at military forces, who support Maduro. “The aid is to save lives.”

Love the narrative warfare — will U.S. Democrat Party socialistas back Maduro bullies blocking humanitarian aid?

Stay tuned.

HOW DOES A MILITARY OFFICER BECOME A TERRORIST AGENT?

Witt’s radicalization “accelerated while she was in graduate school” at George Washington University, where she gained a master’s degree in its Middle East Studies program. The Times describes that program as an “academic proving ground for aspiring diplomats and researchers near the State Department’s headquarters.”

The Times leaves it at that. It does not explore why Witt’s radicalization accelerated while at GW.

It does not point out, as the Daily Caller does, that Muslim-majority nations — plus a handful of private groups associated with them — have given $100 million to George Washington University in the form of gifts and contracts since 2011, according to Department of Education disclosures. This includes $80 million from Saudi Arabia, $14 million from Kuwait, $4.5 million from the United Arab Emirates, and $730,000 from Turkey.

Iran is not on this list, and its interests certainly don’t align with those of the biggest donor. But it’s not difficult to see why Witt’s anti-American radicalization might accelerate while she was a student in a program heavily subsidized by Islamist regimes.

The Times quotes one of Witt’s fellow GW students as saying that “everyone just kind of sat and watched” as Witt expressed strong feelings against American foreign policy in class. No one, it seems, pushed back with even a limited defense of America.

GW’s program is more apt to defend the Muslim Brotherhood.

Disgraceful, but not surprising. But should they have to register as foreign agents?
