RUN ALL THE CANDIDATES! BAN ALL THE THINGS! Bloomberg Is In? Inveterate Foe of Sugary Drinks Considering Run for President.
Bloomberg prevents quite a stark contrast to Trump. Make America Great, versus Make America One Giant Bike Lane.

ABC REALLY FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS THIS WEEK: Joy Behar roasted for denying wearing blackface: ‘Enjoy the cancel culture you created.’
Flashback: “Danson’s Racist ‘Humor’ Appalls Crowd at Roast,” the late Roger Ebert wrote in 1993:
It’s a tradition of the celebrity roasts at the Friar’s Club that everything goes — that no joke is in such bad taste that it cannot be told. Friday, that tradition may have ended, as a roast for Whoopi Goldberg turned into such a tasteless display that some audience members hid their faces in their hands, and others left.
They cringed in disbelief during the opening monologue by actor Ted Danson, Whoopi’s lover, who appeared in blackface and used the word “n***er” more than a dozen times during a series of jokes that drew smaller and smaller laughs, until finally the audience was groaning and Danson faltered as he tried to plow through his written material.
At one point he even ate watermelon.
And from the London Telegraph in 2009: Roman Polanski: backlash as Whoopi Goldberg says director didn’t commit ‘rape-rape.’
Not surprisingly, After his appearance on the View today, “Trump Jr. took to Twitter to gush about how much fun he had. ‘I don’t think I’ve enjoyed an interview this much in my life. Guess you could say that I just #Triggered The View!!!’ he wrote.”
At some point in the 1980s, Morton Downey Jr. and Jerry Springer became the prototypes for today’s media culture. Choose the form of your destructor, indeed.

OK, BOOMER: Michael Bloomberg Is Expected to File for the Alabama 2020 Presidential Primary. “Mr. Bloomberg is actively preparing to enter the Democratic presidential primary and is expected to file paperwork this week designating himself as a candidate in at least one state.”
Finally, someone is addressing the Democrats’ desperate shortage of old, white people who want to tell everyone how to live. And this is certainly not a compliment to the existing field of candidates.
BREAKING: No link yet, but NBC News is teasing a story that Michael Bloomberg is readying for a possible 2020 presidential bid.
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT IS ABOUT REVENUE, NOT SAFETY: A Tennessee Police Department’s Last Officer Resigns Over Ticket Quotas. “Ridgetop no longer has any police officers after recordings captured city officials demanding that the department write 210 citations a month.”
CHINA SYNDROME: U.S. Dependence on Pharmaceutical Products From China. Seems like a bad idea. “While the potential exposure to raw material supply disruptions drives part of our fear, concern about the safety and efficacy of Chinese-made pharmaceuticals is another component. In the summer of 2018, one of China’s largest domestic vaccine makers sold at least 250,000 substandard doses of vaccine for diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough. It was the latest in a slew of scandals caused by poor quality drug products made in China over the last decade. In 2008, the contamination of a raw ingredient imported from China and used to make heparin, a blood-thinning drug, was associated with at least eighty-one deaths the United States. According to an investigative journalist, fraud and manipulation of quality data is still endemic in Chinese pharmaceutical firms.”

FAILING UPWARDS: Why Does The Media Prop Up Failed Democratic Candidates Like Stacey Abrams?
But perhaps the one trait O’Rourke and Abrams have most in common, is how they are more interested in running for higher office than serving in serving their own communities. Their respective campaigns both failed, and as a rule of thumb, the two should try to win a state-wide election, before running in a national election.
Yet, the mainstream media still prop up these failed candidates because the Democratic party is so desperate for fresh faces in their out-of-touch party. If Abrams’ vice presidential run is anything like O’Rourke’s presidential bid, the potential campaign is already doomed.
To be fair, failing upward is a key part of life in the latter half of the DNC-MSM. No wonder they believe it should also apply to the former.

LATEST CLIMATE CULPRITS: ASTHMATICS.
Sure, a lot more people can breathe now. Is it really worth being alive if it means climate cultists are going to scold you for killing the planet?
Oxygen is just like any other natural resource. You should use as little of it as possible. For asthmatics, this is easy: Just throw away your inhalers. Before you know it, the problem will solve itself.
Trump really should do a campaign commercial about this, and all the other things that Democrats seek to ban.
Flashback: Environmentalists make good movie villains because they want to make your real life worse.
“IS IT ANY WONDER THE AMERICAN PUBLIC DISTRUSTS THE MEDIA?” The media protected Jeffrey Epstein and crucified Brett Kavanaugh.
It should be added here that Page Six, the New York Post‘s gossip column, had reported on ABC’s George Stephanopoulos attending parties at Epstein’s townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This not only gives the lie to the excuse that Epstein was insignificant, but it also offers a motive for top brass at ABC to do what they did.
ABC News, ostensibly a news organization, sat on one of the biggest and most consequential stories of the past decade. By the company’s explanation, this was for the sake of an editorial standard, a standard that was strangely missing from its coverage of another significant moment in recent U.S. history.

For many, this incident connects the dots between left-wing media bias and distrust of journalists. It helps explain why people increasingly reject the role of the media as wise gatekeepers, capable of deciding what is newsworthy. And it explains why so many people cheer when Trump calls the media “the enemy of the people” only to turn and sneer when lectured about this behavior by sanctimonious journalists.
Reminder: Disney, which owns ABC News, that ostensible news organization, was also in bed with Harvey Weinstein for over twenty years.
UPDATE: Here’s where the original “Big Three” television networks stand in 2019:
FORMER SLAVE FREDERICK DOUGLASS, 1860: “To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker.”
CHAPEL HILL PROF AT UNC-GREENSBORO CONFERENCE, 2019: “The very idea of freedom, postulated in universalist terms in the 19th century, and serving as the ontological structure for the First Amendment, doesn’t allow the black.”
You kind of have to read the description of this conference to believe it.
FAKE NEWS: AL(dot)com fabricates story about the UA SGA warning against Trump protests.
Alabama Media Group’s Leada Gore published an article claiming that the University of Alabama Student Government Association had sent an email out to student organizations threatening to revoke their block seating if they protested President Donald Trump during the Crimson Tide’s upcoming home game against LSU.
One AL(dot)com headline preview for the article read, “UA SGA: Trump protest may cost students seats.”
The full headline at one point read, “Alabama SGA warns groups: Protest Trump during LSU game, risk losing reserved seating.”
As evidence of those pointed assertions, Gore cited an email from a UA SGA official. However, that email did not mention the president whatsoever.
Apparently, they’ve had a problem with fights and disruptive behavior at previous games.
