The press has underestimated the mothers of America who are watching this process of destroying a good man with horror and anger. WAR ON MEN: Judge said Title IX official may have helped rape accuser lie. Ohio State just settled.
Ohio State University had terrible luck with U.S. District Judge James Graham over the past few years.
The day before Donald Trump’s election, the federal judge refused to dismiss the lawsuit against the public university by a student found responsible for sexual assault.
It claimed that the student’s hearing panel got “biased training” – dubious statistics about most men admitting to “sexually aggressive behavior” – and administrators hid “exculpatory evidence” from “John Doe,” including the suspicious timing of his accuser’s claim.
A year and a half later, Judge Graham hit a Title IX official with distressing news: She could be held personally liable for helping the accuser lie to the panel.
“A reasonable jury could find that Natalie Spiert” (below), a sexual violence support coordinator who served as advocate for “Jane Roe,” “knew or should have known that Jane Roe lied or misled the disciplinary board” and did not correct the record, the judge said in April. . . .
Spiert’s problems go beyond Graham’s rulings. Ohio State shut down her office, the Sexual Civility and Empowerment unit, and terminated its four employees including Spiert at the end of this school year.
It had been under internal investigation for two years before the university suspended the office in February, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
The Ohio Health Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio, known as SARNCO, told the university it had received reports that office staff “have written student conduct and other legal documents” and “told survivors they needed to embellish their stories.”
Documents reviewed by The Lantern found a “pattern of bullying, preferential treatment and lying” alleged against the office’s leaders, including Spiert, who had the title of assistant director when it closed.
A former support coordinator, Jill Davis, complained to the human resources office in 2016 that Spiert was “exaggerating her own abilities,” boasting she’d eventually run the office, falsely claiming she had received certain training and ignoring “evidence-based plans in lieu of her own experience” after finishing graduate school in 2015.
More troubling, Davis said Spiert told athletics coaches in a presentation that she knew they would “go home and beat their wives.”
Sadly, I don’t think she’s as much of an outlier in this field as I’d wish.

Has JoJoJo ever commented on Sen. Tom Carper of Delaware, who has admitted using his ex-wife as a punching bag, giving her a black eye — “it caused some discoloration of her left eye and some puffiness.”
Better put some ice on it, Mrs. Carper. Oh sorry, wrong Democrat pol — that was President Clinton’s medical tip to Juanita Broaddrick after he allegedly raped her. JoJoJo has never tweeted about that Democrat sex crime either.
How about Sen. Sherrod Brown, extinguished Democrat of Ohio. His ex-wife once filed court documents saying that “he struck and bullied me on several occasions.” Lucky for Brown the cops didn’t also charge him with impersonating a Kennedy!
How about New Jersey, where Sen. Cory “Spartacus” Booker has admitted to groping a woman at age 15? And how old were those working girls Sen. Bob Menendez was accused of partying with down in the Dominican Republic? How about the Democrat sheriff of Bergen County who was recently recorded on tape speculating about the sexual preferences of the state’s new unmarried female lieutenant governor?
More crickets from JoJoJo about all the above stalwarts of the Garden State Democrat party.
But it’s even more disingenuous for JoJoJo to be pitting the blast on anyone else, given his own family’s sordid record of abusing women.
Starting with his own father, a hot-tempered moron named Joseph P. Kennedy II. He put Pam Kelley in a wheelchair for life in 1973 on Nantucket in a Jeep accident. Then he hooked up with JoJoJo’s mother, Sheila Rauch. JoJoJo’s mom later detailed in a book how his father had “bullied” her and how frightened she had been by his misogynistic thuggery and volcanic temper.
Then there’s your cousin William Kennedy Smith. I once saw cousin Willie strolling into St. Edward’s in Palm Beach one Sunday morning with your dad. Willie needed divine intervention, because at the time he was on trial in West Palm for raping a young mother in Palm Beach.
Willie beat that rap after the judge refused to allow the jury to see sworn depositions from four other young women who claimed Cousin Willie had attacked them.

SO NOW THE LAST NAMED WITNESS HAS CONTRADICTED CHRISTINE BLASEY FORD:
As the Senate Judiciary Committee staff negotiates with attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of a past sexual assault, over a potential hearing on Thursday, Republican staffers are working to interview those who may have information about the alleged incident.
CNN has learned that the committee has reached out to a longtime friend of Ford named Leland Ingham Keyser.
On Saturday night, her lawyer, Howard Walsh, released a statement to CNN and the Senate Judiciary Committee..
“Simply put,” Walsh said, “Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.”
The lawyer acknowledged to CNN that Keyser is a lifelong friend of Ford’s.
Keyser is the latest person alleged to be at the party to say she has no recollection of it.
“I understand that you have been identified as an individual who was in attendance at a party that occurred circa 1982 described in a recent Washington Post article,” a committee staffer wrote Keyser earlier this week.
Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegations, telling sources he was “flabbergasted” when he learned of them.
“This is a completely and totally false allegation,” he said after Ford came forward. “I have never done anything like what the accuser describes — to her or to anyone.”
In addition, two others have issued statements.
“I have no memory of this alleged incident,” said Mark Judge in a September 18 letter sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee. He said he did not recall the party and never saw Brett Kavanaugh act in the matter Ford describes.
In addition, Patrick J. Smyth issued a statement. “I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as ‘PJ’ who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post,” Smyth said in his statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee. “I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh.”
“Personally speaking, I have known Brett Kavanaugh since high school and I know him to be a person of great integrity, a great friend, and I have never witnessed any improper conduct by Brett Kavanaugh towards women. To safeguard my own privacy and anonymity, I respectfully request that the Committee accept this statement in response to any inquiry the Committee may have.”
This is bullshit. Stop fooling around and take the vote.
