IN THE EMAIL FROM CURTIS EDMONDS:  Snowflake’s Chance: The 2016 Campaign Diary of Justin T. Fairchild, Social Justice Warrior.

Justin Trudeau-Fairchild, a self-described “social justice warrior,” seeks to make America safe for kombucha-drinking vegetarian socialists.

In Snowflake’s Chance, we follow the eager young activist as he navigates the corridors of power in Washington, D.C. and hustles votes in rural New Jersey. Along the way, he inserts himself into the funniest moments of the 2016 campaign, as he learns how to operate a power shredder, interrupts Hillary Clinton as she orders a Chipotle burrito, and gets mistaken for the Canadian prime minister.

A hilariously jaundiced account of the beliefs that animate progressive ideology today, Snowflake’s Chance depicts the inner workings of progressive politics and the silliest excesses of the politically-correct left.

OPEN THREAD. ‘Nuff said.

BROWARD COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT SEEMS TO BE A REAL HIVE OF CONTEMPTIBLE WEASELS: Anti-Gun Control Parkland Survivor Kyle Kashuv Questioned By School Security For Visiting Gun Range With His Father.

Near the end of third period, my teacher got a call from the office saying I need to go down and see a Mr. Greenleaf. I didn’t know Mr. Greenleaf, but it turned out that he was an armed school resource officer. I went down and found him, and he escorted me to his office. Then a second security officer walked in and sat behind me. Both began questioning me intensely. First, they began berating my tweet, although neither of them had read it; then they began aggressively asking questions about who I went to the range with, whose gun we used, about my father, etc. They were incredibly condescending and rude.

Then a third officer from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office walked in, and began asking me the same questions again. At that point, I asked whether I could record the interview. They said no. I asked if I had done anything wrong. Again, they answered no. I asked why I was there. One said, “Don’t get snappy with me, do you not remember what happened here a few months ago?”

Yeah, I remember what happened. Four of your deputies hid behind a car and let kids get slaughtered. But now you’re brave enough to bully a kid who’s not currently carrying a gun. Like I said, what a bunch of contemptible weasels.

THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST: Joy Reid Claims Newly Discovered Homophobic Posts From Her Blog Were ‘Fabricated.’ “These anti-gay articles from The Reid Report, a site that pre-dated Reid’s former MSNBC show of the same name, were originally shared on Twitter by user Jamie_Maz who found them using the Wayback Machine — an Internet archiving service that takes periodic screenshots of popular web pages to preserve them. While the amateur sleuth provided Mediaite with legitimate links to all of the posts they tweeted screenshots of, neither the actual defunct site nor its archived pages are currently accessible, as their Wayback Machine links mysteriously disappeared in December after Mediaite‘s initial story on Reid’s homophobic comments about Florida Congressman Charlie Crist was published. The Wayback Machine did not respond to an inquiry regarding the removal of Reid’s blog.”

BETTER TO REMAIN SILENT AND BE THOUGHT A FOOL: CUNY Law Students Explain “What We Mean When We Say ‘Fuck the Law.'”

Spoiler: They mean “Fuck the Law.” A good dean would not only have cracked down on these students’ bad behavior in disrupting Josh Blackman’s talk, she would have strongly suggested that they keep quiet to avoid embarrassing themselves and their law school even more.

THE SOFT BIGOTRY OF LOW EXPECTATIONS: The Shameful Character Assassination of Trayon White. This “shameful character assassination,” mind you, consists of calling out an anti-Semitic member of the D.C. City Council who happens to be African American. There’s certainly an argument for presuming ignorance rather than malice when someone says something as stupid as “the Rothchilds control the weather,” but not based on the race of the speaker.
