THIS IS WHY THEY THOUGHT THE TEA PARTY WAS ASTROTURF. BECAUSE THAT’S HOW THEY OPERATE. ‘Indivisible,’ With Ties to George Soros, Sows Division Against Trump, GOP Lawmakers. “Democrats who used to work on Capitol Hill are helping to disrupt Republican lawmakers’ town hall meetings across the country through a nationwide effort to oppose and ‘resist’ President Donald Trump’s agenda.”

And nothing says “authentic grassroots movement” like this pedigree:

Ezra Levin, a former staffer for Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, and his wife, Leah Greenberg, are the president and vice president of the Indivisible Guide’s board, respectively.

Levin is also associate director of the Corporation for Enterprise Development, an anti-poverty nonprofit. Melissa Bradley, who sits on that group’s board, previously worked for Green for All, a group founded by liberal commentator and former Obama administration official Van Jones. She was appointed as a Soros Justice Fellow through the Open Society Foundations, which Soros founded.

Greenberg previously worked for Humanity United, which is funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute.

The secretary of Indivisible Guide, Angel Padilla, works for the National Immigration Law Center, which is funded by Soros through his Open Society Foundations. And treasurer Matt Traidi is the research team director for the Service Employees International Union, a major donor to and endorser of Democrat politicians, Capital Research Center notes.

As authentic as the Coffee Party, the Brownbaggers, The Other 95%, A New Way Forward, and the One Nation Movement.

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO RAPE:

Let’s make a few important points here:

These are allegations, and Camryn Zelinger is to be presumed innocent unless and until she is convicted in a court of law; however,

Feminists never extend this presumption of innocence to any male college student accused of sexual misconduct;

We do not know whether Camryn Zelinger is lesbian or bisexual, and this allegation that she molested a 14-year-old girl cannot be used to generalize about about gay teachers as potential predators; however,

Feminists routinely exploit stories about rape to make negative generalizations about heterosexual men as dangerous predators; and therefore

No feminist will ever take notice of news reports about allegations of predatory sexual behavior by women, especially when teenage girls are molested by female teachers.

Feminism succeeds because so many journalists go along with this ideologically imposed double standard, where sex crimes committed by men are accepted as evidence of “rape culture,” but no one is permitted to make inferences from the crimes of female sex offenders.

And that’s why I run this series.

WHY IS JUSTIN TRUDEAU’S CANADA SUCH A CESSPIT OF ANTISEMITISM? McGill student leader doubles down on ‘punch a Zionist today’ message. “According to witnesses who attended, Sadikov appeared to double down on his stance, arguing that Jews were not a ‘a legitimate ethnic group,’ according to B’nai Brith Canada.”

ACHTUNG BABIES: Hollywood’s Nazi Paranoia Is Out of Control:

[Sarah] Silverman apparently has never lived in a “town” that has ever had surveyor markings or communication markers to inform utility engineers where to drill when doing street or power line repairs. This magical place where no construction work ever happens also sounds like Heaven on Earth, so in case Sarah gives this a read, I hope she directs me to this city so I can move there immediately.

These six-to-midnight comparisons of Trump to Hitler serve only to assure average voters, who presumably remember all the “Bushitler” signs during the George W. Bush administration, that this is simply business as usual for Hollywood activists whenever a Republican is elected president. If this was President Ted Cruz, Rand Paul or even Jeb Bush, we’d be hearing the same things. But worst of all, it’s just dumb and lazy.

There are valid reasons to be concerned about President Trump. Reports of infighting and dysfunction at the highest levels of his administration aren’t a great look, especially for a candidate who ran on hiring the “best people” and doing a better job than our “incompetent leaders.”

Which makes it even more incredible that the following actually needs to be spelled out: Donald Trump isn’t Adolf Hitler, and hasn’t actually done a single comparable thing to the Nazi dictator. He hasn’t confiscated guns or banned ammunition. He hasn’t banned a race of people from working in the firearms industry, or any other industry for that matter. He hasn’t put the national media under state control, and he doesn’t have a minister of information personally approving which films can or cannot be made.

Nahh, those last two items in particular would cause the lefties at Salon to squeal with delight – or at least would have if Trump was still a Democrat.

A BRIDGE TOO FAR:

Shot: “I hope that New Yorkers can be as open-minded and accepting of my new status as a conservative man as they’ve been about my sexual orientation.”

—“I’m a gay New Yorker — and I’m coming out as a conservative,” Chadwick Moore, the New York Post, Saturday.

Chaser: “21 percent of L.G.B.T. people are or lean Republican. What are they thinking?”

—The New York Times, Saturday.

Why are Democrat-run cities such cesspits of sexual and ideological intolerance? And why is Carlos Slim keeping the New York Times so underfunded that they can’t hire journalists to find the answers to their own questions?

MARS AIN’T THE KIND OF PLACE TO FEED YOUR KIDS: An algae that survived two years in outer space may hold the secret to growing food on Mars.

The BIOMEX lab was sent back to Earth in June 2016, and we are starting to get the results. Researchers are now analyzing the DNA of what survived to look for what kind of damage it may have suffered.

The surviving algae belonged to the Sphaerocystis species, found in Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago, and the cyanobacteria to the Nostoc species, found in Antarctica. The species were selected because they are known to withstand extreme cold. The algae species protects itself by entering a dormant state, forming thick walls and orange cysts rich in cartenoids, which is the chemical that gives carrots its color and is known to be protective against radiation. These two species are now being added to the small but growing list of terrestrial organisms that can survive space, which include lichens, bacteria, and water bears (tardigrades).

A practical lesson from these survivalists could help us farm on Mars. Algae produce proteins and oxygen, both key ingredients for surviving once humans leave the blue planet.

Even here on Earth, life can be found in the most hostile environments, but for our future explorers’ sakes, let’s hope these results scale up to items tastier than algae and lichens.

YOU DON’T SAY: New York Governor’s donors did very well with healthcare grants.

The latest entry in this soap opera involves a healthcare operation which found itself in line for some very generous grants last year (courtesy of the state’s taxpayers) as they prepared to break ground on two new medical facilities. There’s one significant catch to the story however. Well before the grants had even been announced, the company seemed to be rather fat in the wallet and was already moving ahead with the aforementioned plans. (Albany Times Union)

When Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced $1.5 billion in grants last March to fund health care capital and infrastructure improvement projects, only eight of the 162 grants went to private businesses.

By far the biggest winner of the private firms was Crystal Run Healthcare LLP, a rapidly expanding company based in the Hudson Valley that seemed flush with cash even before $25.4 million in state subsidies arrived.

An April 2015 article based on an interview with the company’s CEO Hal Teitelbaum — published a month before applications for the $1.5 billion were first due — stated that Crystal Run was planning on imminently breaking ground on two 70,000-square-foot facilities.

As the local coverage indicates, recent shareholder reports showed that Crystal Run Healthcare had recorded significant profits and was sitting on a considerable pile of cash. In fact, they broke ground on one of the two facilities under discussion six months before the grants were even announced. There seems to be little or no question that they were moving ahead with these projects. With all of that information being publicly available, how is it that the company was handed a check for more than $25 million courtesy of the taxpayers?

You’ll be shocked, shocked at the answer.

WHY IN GOD’S NAME WOULD ANYONE THINK THAT DRINKING INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH PEROXIDE should count as a “natural cure?”
