SO YOU’RE SAYING RETREATING GLACIERS REVEAL PREVIOUS HUMAN HABITAT? YOU’RE SAYING IN FACT THAT GLACIERS WERE SMALLER THAN THIS VERY RECENTLY IN GEOLOGICAL TERMS? You’re saying the entire Anthropogenic Global Warming boondoggle is a scam? It’s okay we knew it all along. Reindeer hunter stumbles upon 1,100-year-old Viking sword.

‘ENDLESS STUPID POLITICAL NAGGING’: Tucker Carlson Blasts ESPN After Anchor Calls Trump a ‘White Supremacist.’
Related: Clay Travis of the Outkick the Coverage sports blog, who is interviewed by Carlson in the above link, and who broke the Robert Lee story last month via tips from inside what he likes to call MSESPN, tweets, “Sources: After [veteran ESPN anchor] Linda Cohn spoke out on politics…she was told by prez John Skipper not to come to work & to think about what she said.” A Sports Illustrated headline in late April read “Linda Cohn says politics ‘definitely a percentage’ of ESPN’s problems.” That rare moment of reality from an ESPN anchor no doubt caused plenty of cognitive dissonance inside the Disney boardroom.
UPDATE: In contrast to Cohn (allegedly temporarily suspended) and Curt Schilling (fired), ESPN Issues Mild Reprimand to Liberal Host Who Called Trump a ‘White Supremacist.’
Just think of them as Democrat activists with halftime highlight reels, and it all makes sense.

HONESTLY, THIS ISN’T SO DIFFERENT FROM HOW IT WORKS AT THE UPPER ECHELONS IN THE UNITED STATES: First the diploma, then the date: how China’s educated elites find love. “Young people spend so much time in school that when they grow up, ‘going to similar schools and similar universities matters.’ Fan said the point of pegging matches to top universities was not to ensure potential partners had high IQs. Rather, he said, it was to ensure that people in the club had similar family backgrounds.”

SOME CHOICE QUOTES FROM HILLARY CLINTON’S BOOK ABOUT COLLAPSING IN THE STREET (AND ALSO, LOSING A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION). The first one collated by Ace is a hoot:

Indeed.™
At Commentary, John Podhoretz dubs Hillary’s book “simultaneously interesting and dreadful,” and writes:
She complains that she did everything she should have done and said everything people said she should have said and still lost. She offers convincing proof that this is so and openly expresses bafflement that she was not given credit for speaking to the white working class and its issues, etc. The problem that she cannot face, as her bafflement suggests, is that people didn’t believe she meant what she said, in part because what she said was an endless series of platitudes she could not convince anyone was anything more than platitudes. Whatever Trump is, he’s not platitudinous.
But perhaps surprisingly, Young Adult Website Vox.com (as James Taranto would say), features a rare moment of clarity from Hillary: “I don’t think the press did their job in this election, with very few exceptions.”
Since Hillary views the job of the DNC-MSM to block for her and get her into the end zone, that’s the probably the most honest thing she’s ever said.
Tim Blair, everyone’s favorite Blogger Down Under, collates more of Hillary’s excuses regarding “Wha’ Happened:”
And finally:
- Hillary hate. “I have come to terms with the fact that a lot of people — millions and millions of people — decided they just didn’t like me,” Clinton writes — though she doesn’t understand the dislike. “What makes me such a lightning rod for fury? I’m really asking … I’m at a loss.”
Readers are invited to help her out with this.
Have at it in the comments at Tim’s homepage at the Daily Telegraph, and in our comments below.
TRAVEL BAN: Supreme Court lifts restrictions on Trump travel ban. “The Supreme Court agreed late Tuesday to lift restrictions on President Trump’s travel ban until further notice, allowing the administration to continue barring most refugees under the ban. The court temporarily blocked a federal appeals court ruling that said the government cannot ban refugees that have formal assurances from resettlement agencies or are in the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program.”

EVERGREEN HEADLINE. The European left: unfit to govern:
Europe’s left has seen an even more dramatic decay in its foreign policy thinking, placing itself firmly, as they say, on the wrong side of history. Catalyzed also by the rise of the nationalist right and by Mr. Trump’s election, European foreign policy discussions, which were once about trade-offs, nuances, and technicalities, have grown into a deeper clash over basic principles that guided the Western world since Second World War.
Speaking of which, to paraphrase an Insta-motif, it is safe to say that Europe isn’t currently being governed by the worst socialists in its history…

WHY ARE DEMOCRAT-MONOPOLY CITIES SUCH CESSPITS OF SEXUAL PREDATION? Seattle Mayor Ed Murray to resign following multiple accusations of sexual abuse:
The news came after a fifth person reportedly came forward to accuse Murray of sexual abuse — Murray’s younger cousin, who alleges that Murray repeatedly molested him in the 1970s.
Curiously, this Fox News article doesn’t name Murray’s political party, but Seattle’s last Republican mayor left office before the Beatles broke up.

OF COURSE HILLARY CLINTON IDENTIFIES WITH CERSEI LANNISTER. THEY ARE THE SAME PERSON:
What’s the difference between Game of Thrones character Cersei Lannister and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton? One is an entitled narcissist who quietly supported her lecherous husband (whom she clearly loathed) when it was politically convenient, then insisted it was her turn to rule (even though it wasn’t), chose boot-lickers, ass-kissers, and elitist bankers as her advisors while alienating more competent and better-liked people who might have helped her, exacted petty vengeance on imagined enemies, escaped justice and the judgment of the people by destroying her main rival—the charismatic, income-inequality obsessed populist—with an explosive cheat, and was left confused why so many people in her country would rather be ruled by a complete political unknown who tells it like it is.
The other f**ks her twin brother.
Ouch. Oh and, heh, indeed.™

UPDATE: From the comments: “I choose a psychological explanation: Having lost control of the peace, stability, and order of the campus in all the ways that matter, the campus police choose petty assertions of control that allow them to feel that they do still have power. They look for the people who are easiest to dominate, and then dominate them in obviously excessive and asinine ways, because it’s a way for them to not notice the way they’ve been dominated. A bunch of campus-adjacent randos are going to pay a steep cost for the way the UCPD has gone into a crouch in the presence of antifa.”
