The weird argument that Mr. Trump is a fascist, but Mr. Obama isn’t, is as specious as the left’s rant that the greatest surgeon in the world, Ben Carson, doesn’t have the right qualifications to be president, but a man who’s only accomplishment in life was to be a community organizer in the streets of Chicago was perfectly trained to oversee our $18 trillion economy and take over as our commander in chief.

Ironically, the left intelligentsia that is accusing Mr. Trump of fascism, are many of the same people in Hollywood who just made a movie celebrating the communists/fascists of the 1950s within their ranks — and portraying them sympathetically as blackballed victims, rather than subversive supporters of butchers who killed millions of Jews, blacks, gays, Christians, and dissidents.

Many of the communists in Hollywood, not least of all Trumbo, were avid supporters of Stalin and even remained so after his genocidal purges were well-documented. Even the Russians themselves have repudiated the savagery of Stalin — but not the American left.

If middle class American voters are so afraid, so angry, so distrustful of Washington, and feeling so economically marginalized that millions would throw their support behind a man routinely denounced as a dangerous Nazi/fascist, maybe the left might want to ask: who made things so bad that it has come to this? Without Barack Obama’s full slate of failures and his eight years of polarizing politics, there could be no Donald Trump.

And while Trump is predictably dubbed a ‘fascist’ by the left, Viacom spokesman Larry Wilmore allows one of his guests to employ an equally shopworn cliche against Ted Cruz:

In what may be the worst series of attacks by the liberal media on Ted Cruz, Monday’s Nightly Show on Comedy Central featured host Larry Wilmore declaring that the ‘creepy’ Cruz may be mentally disturbed with guest Aida Rodriguez firmly asserting that, if elected, Cruz’s agenda would be to ‘do everything the KKK does.'”

Huh — I must have misread Cruz’s ideology — I never considered that he would be all that big a fan of Woodrow Wilson.

The National Women’s Studies Association has voted by a huge majority to join the worldwide Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

Their annual conference passed the measure by a 653-86 vote, and their full membership of 12,000 will vote on it in the next two months.

That means the NWSA is on the verge of becoming the fifth American academic association to boycott Israel since April 2013. It began then with the Association for Asian American Studies, and since that time the American Studies Association, the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association, the American Anthropological Association, and now the NWSA have joined in.

The BDS movement is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and other radical and terror-supporting groups. Its aim is to “solve” the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by putting an end to Israel. Its leader are quite explicit about that. . . .

“As feminist scholars, activists, teachers, and public intellectuals,” the NWSA pontificates, “we recognize the interconnectedness of systemic forms of oppression. In the spirit of this intersectional perspective, we cannot overlook the injustice and violence, including sexual and gender-based violence, perpetrated against Palestinians and other Arabs in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, within Israel and in the Golan Heights, as well as the colonial displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians during the 1948 Nakba.”

Yeah, because if you’re worried about sexual and gender-based violence, you really want to be in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood.

But, as with every other affinity based group on the left, if there’s a conflict between the purported interest of the group, and the overall leftist agenda, the leftist agenda wins.

Hollywood producer Mark Ciardi says the new Ted Kennedy biopic movie Chappaquiddick, about the drowning incident that left a young woman dead, gives viewers a chance to see what Kennedy “had to go through” at that time, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

“I’ve done a lot of true life stories, many sports stories, but this one had a deep impact on this country,” Ciardi said. “Everyone has an idea of what happened on Chappaquiddick and this strings together the events in a compelling and emotional way. You’ll see what he had to go through.”

The Hollywood Reporter uses passive voice to describe the incident, saying Kennedy “becomes entangled in a tragic car accident.”

The EPA broke the law with its social media campaign promoting a controversial Obama administration water rule that has drawn fierce resistance from farming, development, oil and other industries, government watchdogs said Monday.

A Government Accountability Office report released Monday afternoon found that the campaign promoting the Waters of the U.S. rule violated legal provisions barring federal agencies from engaging in congressional and grassroots lobbying.

In particular, auditors concluded that the agency’s use of a “Thunderclap” campaign constituted “covert propaganda.” The campaign encouraged users to redistribute messages in support of the rule without identifying the EPA as the source of those messages.
The report comes as lawmakers are considering blocking the rule through a policy rider in the end-of-year spending deal.

Every time an agency does this, Congress should zero out its conference and travel budget.
