TO BE FAIR, WHAT AREN’T THEY CLUELESS ABOUT? Margaret Wente: Why Are Young Feminists So Clueless About Sex? “Ironically, today’s feminists are serious about consent but casual about sex. And to their shock, they’ve discovered that there’s an awful lot of bad sex out there. They did not expect this. They’ve been told they are supposed to be having a super-positive sex life – unconflicted, joyous, casual and abundant. They’ve been told they should be able to have as many partners and initiate sex just as often as men do. And they’ve tried that. And it hasn’t worked out very well. Instead of feeling super-positive, they feel sexually dissatisfied, emotionally disconnected and more than a little used. The surprise is that so many young women are surprised by this. Haven’t they watched Girls?

LOVE THE PHOTO: Clinton previews her lame ‘everything is sexism’ strategy.

Conservatives knew this was coming. Just as President Obama and his surrogates found racism in every criticism or disagreement with the commander in chief, Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton is now finding sexism in everyday remarks.

At the first Democratic presidential debate, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said that “all the shouting in the world” would not solve gun violence.

What Americans heard: “As a senator from a rural state, what I can tell Secretary Clinton, that all the shouting in the world is not going to do what I would hope all of us want, and that is keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have those guns and end this horrible violence that we are seeing.”

What Hillary Clinton heard: SEXISM!!!!!!!1!!1!!

Well, it’s not as if she can run on her record, you know.

ROLL CALL: Tea Party Victory Scuttled Immigration Deal:

They were two days away.

Reps. Paul D. Ryan, R-Wis., and Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., had a July 12, 2014, meeting scheduled with Speaker John A. Boehner to present the Ohio Republican with their immigration reform bill, complete with a whip count, that was ready for introduction.

But on July 10, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., lost his primary to Dave Brat, who ran on a hard-right immigration platform, and the migrant children crisis on the Southwest border peaked. After that, “the whip count commitments evaporated,” according to “Immigration Battle,” a new documentary by Shari Robertson and Michael Camerini.

This is why primary challenges matter.

THE HILL: Facebook accused of ‘secretly lobbying’ for cyber bill.

Facebook is “secretly lobbying” for a major cyber bill set for a final Senate vote Tuesday despite growing opposition to the bill among tech companies, according to a digital rights advocacy group fighting against the measure.

Facebook has told “several offices on the Hill” that they support the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA), stated a release from Fight for the Future, the advocacy group. The bill would encourage companies to share more data on hacking threats with the government.

“Facebook lobbyists are working behind the scenes to get it passed,” the group said, without revealing its source for the information.

A Facebook representative denounced the reports, calling them inaccurate and clarifying, “We have not advocated publilcy or privately for CISA.”

As a voluntary bill, CISA would not require Facebook to participate in the measure’s info-sharing provisions, and the social media company has indicated it is unlikely to do so.

CISA has drawn the ire of privacy advocates and a growing number of tech companies, who argue the measure could incentivize companies to hand over large swaths of Americans’ private data to the government.

Hmm.

HILLARY VOWS: I’ll go further than Obama in granting amnesty to illegals:

This clip comes from her speech at Saturday night’s Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Iowa, incidentally, the other highlight of which involved her baselessly smearing Bernie Sanders as sexist for complaining about her “shouting” over gun control. I can’t think of two more representative soundbites to sum up the case for Hillary 2016, such as it is, than whining about phony bias against women and trying to outdo Obama in pandering to minority voters. Exit question: Does she actually refer to illegals as “law-abiding” here?

George Orwell, call your office.

THE SENIOR ANTI-SEX LEAGUE: National coalition in favor of campus censorship.

A large coalition of advocacy groups has asked the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights to pressure colleges to (1) punish students for their speech and (2) block student access to certain Web sites — especially sites such as Yik Yak, which allow students to anonymously post their views.

Yet another example of today’s Anti-Free Speech Movement for American universities — unfortunately, one that fits well into the Education Department’s attitudes. Fortunately, courts have firmly rejected these kinds of calls to restrict college student speech, though the OCR and the college administrations it pressures can get away with a lot of restrictions until the lawsuits are actually brought.

It’s nice of the fascists to self-identify.

BEING IN THE MIDDLE OF A MOVE: And having friends trying to sell/buy houses, I was more amused by this site than I care to say. Partly because I’ve seen pictures like this.  (Though fortunately not from anyone who worked for me now or in the past.)  The commentary is what makes it, though.  Lileks-like. Terrible Real Estate Agent Photographs.

I’M SO TIRED OF THIS NARRATIVE HYDRA: It’s Not Racism When They Do It.  The left knows all this is about race. And yet, I still don’t FEEL like a white Mormon male.
