PROFESSIONALISM: Politico: Leon Panetta revealed classified SEAL unit info. “The disclosure of the IG report could complicate the Obama administration’s claims that senior officials have not leaked classified information. Last spring, Republicans publicly attacked President Barack Obama and his top aides, alleging that the administration leaked national security secrets to burnish Obama’s standing for his reelection bid. The release of the findings in the draft report also raises questions about why the findings have been under wraps for so long and which of the document’s conclusions were known to White House officials prior to last November’s election.”

Just more embarrassing news they managed to keep under wraps until it was too late to matter.

NEWS YOU CAN USE: Telling Women They Don’t Need to Lose Weight Doesn’t Do Them Any Favors. “What I’m finding is a puzzling combination of the ‘fat acceptance’ or ‘body acceptance’ and politeness being used against women who are really trying to do something good for themselves. . . . Body acceptance is not about trapping someone in any one particular body.”

PAUL RAHE: An IRS Smoking Gun. “Congressman Issa should call in Ms. Cutter and recall Mr. Shulman to testify under oath about these meetings. I, for one, would like to watch them squirm as they commit perjury.”

YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK: Secret Man Caves Found In EPA Warehouse. “’The warehouse contained multiple unauthorized and hidden personal spaces created by and for the workers that included televisions, refrigerators, radios, microwaves, chairs and couches,’ the IG report said. ‘These spaces contained personal items, including photos, pin ups, calendars, clothing, books, magazines and videos.’”

RECRUITING VICTIMS for the campus sexual-harassment industry. Remember guys, if you go to online school, you don’t have to worry about bogus sex charges.

And here’s a piece of research I’d like to see: What’s the racial/gender makeup of the campus student-conduct offices regulating this sort of thing? I’ll bet it’s not representative of the student body.

I’M GOING TO GO WITH A COMBINATION OF DEEP, ABIDING IGNORANCE COMBINED WITH INTENSE AND UNREFLECTIVE POLITICAL AND CULTURAL BIAS. Why Does the American Media Get Big Stories Wrong? When you’re dumb, but smug, you make a lot of mistakes. And you don’t learn from them.

“HORRIFYING” YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT IN EUROPE. Plus this: “Europe’s youth unemployment is strange, because we’ve never seen a generation *this educated* also be this unemployed.”
