NICK GILLESPIE EMAILS: “Unbelievable! Even for those of us who hate Michigan.” Kindergartener Banned from Wearing U of Michigan T-Shirt in OK City. “An Oklahoma City kindergartner was forced to turn his University of Michigan shirt inside out last week because it violated a city ban on any apparel not supportive of the state’s college teams.” Really, have we reached the point where it’s parental malpractice to entrust your kids to public schools?

RICH LOWRY RESPONDS TO LAWSUIT THREAT: “Get lost!” “If Mann sues us, the materials we will need to mount a full defense will be extremely wide-ranging. So if he files a complaint, we will be doing more than fighting a nuisance lawsuit; we will be embarking on a journalistic project of great interest to us and our readers.”

Mann’s been doing his best to hide his email. That won’t work in discovery. If he backs down, it’ll be further suggestive of him having something to hide.

BASEBALL: More Dangerous Than Football? “Why might baseball, the gentleman’s game, be more deadly than football over the long term?”

SCIENCE: Comfort Foods Chemically Similar to Rx Mood Stabilizer. “Molecules in chocolate, a variety of berries and foods containing omega-3 fatty acids have shown positive effects on mood. In turn, our studies show that some commonly used flavor components are structurally similar to valproic acid.”
